A strengthening Atlantic system merges off Jersey and batters the Northeast with wind, rain, and tide trouble

SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this is Midi Bogger Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Sunday, 12th day of the month of October, 2025. And a storm winding up along the eastern seaboard is going to have two centers, one located due east of Norfolk Newport News by about a couple hundred miles. The other one just off the coast of South Carolina and North Carolina, all drifting slowly and gradually to the north. Probably going to intensify to one storm just off the Jersey coast during the daytime on Monday. Then meander off into the Atlantic and away. But it looks like it will give us a strong easterly wind. And because of that, a coastal flood warning is in effect from coastal New England all the way down to New York, Long Island, coastal sections of Connecticut, New Jersey, and Del Marva, and even into Virginia as well. This has this storm continues to intensify as it moves towards the northeast. It will give us rain during the daytime in the mid-Atlantic from D.C. out to the Boston area. Rain likely on Sunday and Sunday night. Some of the rain coastal New Jersey and to the south in Del Marva could be heavy at times. And of course, with that coastal flooding at the times of high tides, uh the high tides during the morning hours are probably about 3 a.m. and around 3 p.m. on Sunday, and around one hour later, 4 a.m., 4 p.m. on Monday. But the storm will slowly, gradually drift away as we head towards Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday, a clearing trend. Wednesday and Thursday are also looking fair for this week. If you're traveling on this Sunday, it's going to be tough out of the Northeast. A lot of delays, a lot of cancellations because of the storm, and because of uh the budget problems that continue to hamper the FAA and most government agencies. That work 24 hours, 24-7 for us, 365. Well, it looks like uh the rainy conditions will cause everything to go by the book at Norwerty, JFK, and LaGuardia, and that's going to slow things down to maybe hours of delays, and of course, uh cancellations as well. Similar situation for Baltimore and D.C. The weather's going to be bad. We still have the same labor problems as well. Also looking at fair skies in Chicago, so no problems in that area, but Minneapolis, St. Paul. It'll be raining. Also looking at dry weather at Houston and Dallas and southern Florida. Los Angeles to San Francisco, dry, but the Pacific Northwest. Looks like continued rainy weather will happen there right in through Sunday night and even into Monday. We'll update this in the afternoon on Sunday. So check back a little bit later on for the developing uh storm situation along the Eastern Seaboard. I'm Eddie Brown, Steve Pellateria. Hope you have a good day. Make the best of it. Take care.
