Sunshine Today, Clouds Sunday: A Clear Guide To Your Eastern Seaboard Weekend
Hi, this is Biddy Brown, Steve Pelletier, and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com on your Friday. It is the 17th day of the month of October, 2025. And looking at a weekend, that's going to be fairly decent around the eastern seaboard, except for areas of moisture heading our way from the northern plains. That's what we see. Lots of rainfall across the northern Great Lakes, rain across uh sections of Mississippi, northward all the way up into Minnesota, and also into the Dakotas, and that area of rain will just basically start to weaken somewhat as it runs into a ridge of high pressure up along the eastern seaboard. And that means plenty of sunshine for your Friday from D.C., central North Carolina, D.C., all the way up to the Boston area. It's looking very, very good weather-wise with sunshine or highs will range into the lower 60s, or about 60 to 65 on average. Clear at night. You'll find some places in Pennsylvania, western New York State, maybe run a finger length where they could have a strong frost. But temperatures overnight, generally in the 30s to the lower 40s. On Saturday, it warms up into the middle 60s with fair skies. And then on Sunday, look for increasing clouds and the possibility of some showers. Finally, moving in from the northern plains into the area. Stationary front will become a little bit more active and a stronger low pressure out of Canada. We'll swing it on through the eastern seaboard, and that gives us some cooler conditions as we head into the middle of next week. If you are flying today, well, the situation across the nation continues to show very good conditions, good flying weather from Boston down to New York, New Gladia, JFK, down to Philly, Baltimore, D.C., Richmond, up to Dulles, down to Charlotte, even Atlanta, all looking good weather-wise, so no problems weather-wise getting into there. Most of the Florida Peninsula is dry. Jacksonville to Atlanta, Tampa St. Pete, all the way down to West Palm, Miami, and Fort Myers generally looking pretty good, so no problems weather-wise. Some rain has been starting to migrate into the Houston areas. Could slow things down into there. Dallas Fort Worth also uh the possibility of some late day showers, but nothing too major. Chicago looks generally dry. The showers will be moving out of Minnesota and West Coast showing dry weather in San Diego, LA, San Francisco, with some rain moving into the Pacific Northwest, showers in Portland and Seattle, but generally on the lighter side. I bet you welcome to Steve Pelletier right now, the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Saturday. Have a great weekend.
