High Pressure Brings Sunshine, Travel Heads-Up Nationwide

Stephen Pellettiere
SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this has been your Roger Steve Pelletier and The Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Saturday. It is the 18th day of the month of October, 2025. And it's weekend in October looks like some fair weather across the eastern seaboard from eastern Kentucky and also into Tennessee, the southeast states, all the way up into New England. Looks like fair weather, all the result of high pressure anchored right off the Carolinas. That's going to give us great weather for today. Temperatures range generally between 65 and 70, so a little bit warmer and then into the 70s. In some spots, I wouldn't be surprised to see temperatures right around 80 degrees for highs on Sunday. This has a weather front currently working its way through the western Great Lakes. We'll be arriving in the area during the evening hours on Sunday. That will give us some showers, maybe a little rain into the morning hours on Monday. Then high pressure starts to build in. Not from Canada, but from the Pacific Northwest. That usually is a little bit of a warmer flow. And that should give us a clearing trend for Monday, nice weather for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Although on Wednesday, another cold front will be arriving from the Great Lakes, and that could bring us some scattered sprinkles and showers under a mix of clouds and sun and some breezy and cooler weather towards the end of this upcoming week along the eastern seaboard from the northeast corner. That includes Richmond, Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, all the way up to New York City and up in the Boston area. If you're traveling today by air, it looks like fair weather in Atlanta, no problems there. The world's number one hub, looking at also showers in Chicago, dry weather in Charlotte, dry weather in central and south Florida. New York City, LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark, no weather problems expected for today or early tomorrow. Also, the Boston area should be dry as well. Looks like some rain for Houston and Dallas, some delays getting into there, especially during the afternoon. There'll be some thunderstorms and some locally severe weather in East Texas and eastern Oklahoma. Dry weather in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Looks like more rain in Portland and Seattle during the next 24 to 36 hours. I've been your brother, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today and a great weekend. Talk to your first thing on Sunday. See you then.
