A Calm Day Gives Way To Showers Tonight Across The Eastern Seaboard
Hi, this is Biddy Roger Steve Pelletier and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to the WeathermanPod.com on your Sunday. It is the 19th day of the month of October, almost two-thirds of the way through. Looking at fair weather around the eastern seaboard, good conditions in New York, Philly, Washington, D.C., Richmond, even down to Raleigh, north and up to Boston. Also looking at good weather even into Maine. Looks like this high pressure cell that's given us such nice weather the last couple of days is going to be drifting offshore. Our frontal system is working its way across the Great Lakes. That'll be arriving later today and tonight. As it moves on through, high pressure starts to build in from the west, not from the north. That means that the temperatures behind it not going to be too cool. We'll actually have uh generally temperatures in the 60s to near 70 by the time we get into the midweek. So for your Sunday, look for highs in the 70s, 73 to 78, and some places may even touch 80. But the showers and thunderstorms will be arriving tonight with the cool front and a little area low pressure will quickly swing on through, and that'll give us some showers overnight tonight and on Monday morning. The showers end the skies clear, and we get into some better weather. As a matter of fact, temperatures in the mid-60s on Monday, but by Tuesday and Wednesday, they'll be back up to near 70, all with fair skies. If you're flying today, it looks like good weather in Atlanta, but it will be going down to showers and thunderstorms tonight, some locally heavy things tonight and tomorrow morning in the form of showers and thunderstorms with that next front and low pressure. And in Charlotte, it also looks dry, but also some thunderstorms on Sunday evening and early Monday. Dry weather in Central and South Florida. Uh New York, Newark, LaGuardia, JFK, no problems weather-wise during the daylight hours, but showers will be slowing things down for the evening and overnight early morning hours on Monday. Boston also looking generally fair for a good balance of the period. Maybe some showers early in the morning, but then clearing out later in the day. High pressures building across the nation's midsection. That means dry weather across California, but rain in the Pacific Northwest. Looks like Seattle and Tacoma with rainy weather for the next 36 hours. I've been your bodger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Monday. See you then.
