Weather Patterns Shift As October Ends And November Begins

Stephen Pellettiere
SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this is Meteorologist Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Sunday, 26th day in the month of October, 2025. So we get down to the last five days of the month. It looks like our temperature trends will be just about normal, if not a little bit below normal, over the next several days. But taking a look across the nation, we do see high pressure across the Great Lakes, extending down to the Mid-Atlantic, including New York, Philadelphia, and Boston, and the Baltimore area, Washington, D.C., and also up in Boston as well. And it looks like fair weather for today is our temperatures range in the 50s to near 60 degrees in most places, lower 60s in D.C. and Richmond. Looks like we are going to have generally fair skies and Apache frost again, especially in Pennsylvania and Finger Lakes in upstate New York, the Adirondack's westward, all the way out to close to the Great Lakes of Erie and Ontario. They're also going to have some very chilly readings there. Looks like nice weather on Monday as temperatures go, only in the mid-50s, but by Tuesday, area of low pressure that's over the southern Mississippi River Valley will be advancing eastward, almost becoming stationary and then spreading some moisture to the north. So more rain across Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, D.C., and southeastern Pennsylvania and even southern New Jersey, and it may even extend into the New York City area by later in the day on Tuesday or Tuesday night. Wednesday also looking unsettled with that low pressure still on the eastern seaboard. And uh basically we're going to get into some improving but cooler weather as we head into the first couple of days in November next week on Saturday and Sunday. In the meantime, for today, we are looking at a good amount of sunshine with temperatures in the 50s to the lower 60s. If you're flying today, looks like some rain will be moving into Atlanta, slight delays into there, looking pretty good into Charlotte, uh, Central and South Florida, some isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, but shouldn't be anything major. No problems. New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and uh the uh D.C. area all looking generally fair, so no problems weather-wise. Chicago also clear, clear in Minneapolis, St. Paul. The rain's moved out of Houston right now. It's located across the southern Mississippi River Valley, Alabama, Mississippi, and uh central sections of the Mississippi River Valley. That includes uh southern Missouri, Arkansas, western Tennessee, and western Kentucky. And that's all moving to the east over the next several days. Pacific Northwest, big area low pressure moving in there. It started moving in on Saturday morning, and still looks like some rainy weather for us in the Pacific Northwest uh during the daytime on Sunday and also on Monday as well. Though should be some clearing improving conditions. But it does look like dry weather in LA and San Diego, San Francisco rainy, rain also in Portland and Seattle. I'm Divati Fellow Tier. I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. And we'll talk to you first thing tomorrow. See you then.
