West Coast Soaked, Northeast Clears

Stephen Pellettiere
SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this is BD Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com. On your Monday, it is the 17th day of the month of November. And although strong winds on the northwest on Sunday really meant business, and there are quite a bit of delays across the northeast because of those strong winds, a lot of cancellations too, and even lake effects snows that extended from the eastern portion of Lake Erie, extending just north of the city of Erie, Pennsylvania, up into Sal Medico, which is an extreme western New York State. And lots of snow on that snowball coming down to the east-southeast of Toronto, Buffalo, Niagara Falls extending into the central Finger Lakes, just south of Rochester. And that area of snow is going to gradually break down today with high pressure building in. The high pressure sells from central Canada all the way down to the southeast states. But on the west coast, lots of folks out there, rainy conditions, and some heavy rains too. Flash flooding, also the case in those places in Southern California. Usually get these heavy rains a little bit later on in December and January, but uh these big storms continue to move in from the west-southwest and will continue across the area during the daytime today. So some delays getting into the LA, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle area because of rainy conditions. But for the Northeast, it's going to be a sunny day today with their highs of only 45 to 50. Clear and cold at night back into the mid-30s. Tomorrow sunshine. Then an increase in clouds on Tuesday. Look for your high temperatures also to range close to 50. Might be a little rain on Tuesday night, then clearing skies Wednesday and Thursday, both days, looking at highs 45 to 50. Maybe some rain on Thursday night and Friday of this week. If you're traveling on this Monday, still have those strong northwesterly winds. That will cause delays in the New York area. But down in Philadelphia, a little bit less so on the winds, so no problems there. Baltimore and D.C. looking also pretty good weatherwise. No major problems in those places. Up in the Boston area, strong northwesterly flows will continue, keeping them in. Lots of clouds, and some uh moderate delays in the Boston area. Chicago's looking good. Minneapolis, St. Paul, also dry, dry in central and south Florida, coastal uh Texas, Houston to Dallas, out to El Paso, no problems weatherwise. But as mentioned, rain in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, all the way up to Portland and Seattle from the West Coast under rainy conditions on this Monday. I'm Dimagine Fellatier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Tuesday. See you then.
