Snow On The Way For The Northeast

Stephen Pellettiere
SPEAKER_00:

Uh, this is Biddy Roger, Steve Pelveteria, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Thursday. And it is the 11th day of December, 2025. Looking at a clearing, Trent had some frontal system move through a little bit of rain across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast yesterday. It showed up as a few snow showers across the Poconos and Catskills. Also the possibility of some snow showers later on today and tonight in central and northern New York State and southern New England. This has a frontal system has moved through. Another front moves through tonight, maybe with some flurries in the interior. But it looks like fair cold weather right up through Saturday. On Saturday night, early Sunday, we're seeing a low pressure system arriving from the west. It looks like it could give a widespread one to three inch snowfall, some places even up to four inches, but mainly south, extending from uh maybe around the Richmond area to D.C. up to Baltimore, Philly, and New York City. New York City could get a couple of inches. Even up in the Boston area, maybe an inch or two of snow from the system. But we'll move in overnight Saturday into Sunday and then quickly clear out on Sunday afternoon. Then it looks like fair cold weather for early next week. For today, though, plenty of sunshine or highs in the middle thirties is that gusty northwest wind that'll add wind chill. Some of those wind gust up to 35 miles per hour today. Clear at night, 23. For the Northeast Carter on Friday, look for sunshine or highs in the middle 30s with lighter winds, maybe some flurries at night. Saturday, partly sunny, near 40. Could be that snow early on Sunday, then clearing in the afternoon. High of only 30 later Sunday. If you're traveling by air today, frontal system's gone through the area, and we've got uh strong cold air moving across the Great Lakes. So lake effect snow squalls are likely in the eastern shores of Lake Erie and Ontario. And that'll cause uh snow across the Finger Lakes, northwestern Pennsylvania, across the Salamanica Nation of Western New York State, uh, northeast of Erie, PA, and also around Syracuse, Utica, Rome, and even Albany could get some snow squalls during the daytime today. But it does look drier but windy in the New York area. So because of those stronger winds, that usually causes some delays, hour to two-hour delays in inbound and outbound traffic because of the strong winds on your Thursday. Boston's looking dry, also looking dry at Charlotte and Atlanta. Central and South Florida, dry weather, even though a frontal system moving through, there's no weather associated with it. Finally, some clearing across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast to Houston to Dallas Fort Worth looking dry, no problems weather wise there. Chicago looking with no problems getting in there daytime today and tonight, although there is some snow off to the west. Minneapolis, St. Paul also showing snow as a possibility, so some delays getting into there. West Coast dry in San Diego, LA, and San Francisco. Rainy weather, as typical up in Portland and Seattle during the daytime and evening today. I'm India Roger, Steve Peldery and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Hold on to your hat because of the gusty winds, but we are going to have fair conditions for Friday. And it looks like that first accumulating snow is a possibility for the New York, Philly, Baltimore, and even Boston area sometime early on Sunday. We'll update that on your Friday morning report. See you then.
