Weekend Weather: Snow Swath And A Warmup Ahead
Hi, this is Midi Roger Steve Bellaterian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Saturday. It's the 13th day of the month of December, 2025, approaching the halfway mark. And looks like we are going to have lots of cloud cover across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. And an area of snow that's moving across from Montana through the Dakotas and eventually into the central Mississippi River Valley will arrive in the east. It has a little period of some snow. Looks like the majority of the snowfall will probably be across the I-95 Carter, extending from Baltimore northward to Philly and New York City and south. North and northwest are there. It looks like just light amounts, and it'll be during the overnight Sunday into Monday. But in the meantime, we're looking at a cloudy Saturday with our high temperatures ranging in the upper 30s and lower 40s. At night, that possibility of some snow developing overnight, light snow. Nighttime blows down to about 25. It could be as but little as a trace in some places through as much as uh two or three inches of snowfall from the storm. It'll quickly move on through by Sunday morning. Sunday to snow showers and then skies are going to become partly sunny. High temperatures will range 30 to 35. Here's the extended outlook for the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Monday's looking mostly sunny but cold. Upper 20s, lower 30s. Tuesday sunshine, about 30 to 35. A little recovery with the temperatures there, but the real recovery comes on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday, looking at a partly sunny day of 42. By Thursday, it'll be clouds and sun with highs all the way up to near 50, the upper 40s and lower 50s, from about the Richmond to DC, all the way up to Philly, New York, and in Boston area, a little bit cooler, generally in the lower 40s, but generally a little bit of a mile-up through the middle portion of this week. If you're traveling by air today, it looks like uh area of low pressure will be forming out of the Midwest. So it's going to be giving snow to Chicago, also sections of Indiana into Ohio, and also northwestern Pennsylvania, western New York States. That frontal system moves through in an area of low pressure forms during the overnight. Again, looking at that little swath of snow from about D.C. up to well, Philadelphia and then eastward into New Jersey, just touching into Long Island, northwestern New Jersey, and southern New England. That'll be during the overnight. Generally traces to maybe an inch or three in some places. Then high pressures now moving down into the Dakota, so it does look like dry weather will replace that during the daytime on Sunday. But if you're traveling on Saturday, it looks good in Atlanta and Charlotte. Majorly basically no problems down in Central and South Florida. There's some scattered thunderstorms across the Keys. Looking at some rain in Houston and Dallas, Fort Worth, West Coast drive for the most part from San Diego, LA, San Francisco, all the way up to Portland and Seattle. A little break from all those tremendous rains that they've had over the last several days. I'm in your body, just Steve Pellethiery, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Sunday. See you then.
