Cold Start, Warm Finish
Hi, this is BD Roger Steve Pelletier and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com on your Monday. It's the 15th day of the month of December, halfway through the month, getting closer and closer to the Christmas holiday and the first of the new year. At a beginning of Hanukkah, of course, last evening. Looking at a weather situation that's kind of like the mid-winter. We've had uh between four and as much as eight inches of snowfall, some places even a little bit higher from that storm that very quickly moved through the region. It started in the later evening on Saturday and ended around the middle morning on Sunday, and then just windy and cold after that. Now it looks like we've got another dry and windy day across the mid-Atlantic. Looks dry from the Virginias northward, right up to New York City and even up into the Boston area. There may be some late day or evening snow flurries, but for the most part, temperatures only in the 20s to near 30 for daytime, nighttime lows dropping back down into the mid to upper teens. Looks like another sunny day. Big area high pressure is moving in. Sunshine with high temperatures ranging up to about 30 to 35. So a touch warmer on Tuesday. Wednesday will really start to feel things, and a lot of melting too. 42 for a high, but by Thursday, all the way up to near 50, and increasing clouds will bring us some rain for Thursday night and Friday, and another cold front moving through with fair but colder weather coming up for this upcoming weekend. In the meantime, though, for today, good amount of sunshine with some late day clouds and the possibility of some snow flurries and temperatures only ranging in the upper 20s and lower 30s. If you're traveling by air today, it looks like great weather in Atlanta and Charlotte, no problems. Miami and South Florida looking good at Houston and Dallas. Still some snow showers, but nothing major across Chicago. A lot of snow across Iowa. And right now, though, it's clear but very cold. The daytime high is only ranging in the teens and the lower 20s and looking at a good amount of sunshine. Dry weather also in LA and San Francisco. Although San Francisco will have some rainy weather by later on today and tonight. And the rain's moving back into Portland and Seattle, especially for later today and this evening. I'm Bogger, Steve Fellow Tierana. I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Tuesday. See you then.
