A Quick Forecast: Cold Start, Warm Front Tuesday, Rain By Friday, Then A Sharp Turn To Arctic Air
Hi, this is Bity Balder Steve Pelletier, and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Monday. 22nd day of the month of December 2025, and we're into a fair and cold day upcoming across the eastern seaboard and the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Our temperatures for the daytime will range in the 30s to the lower 40s, depending upon where you are. And we do have a little warm front approaching the area for the overnight tonight into tomorrow, especially across northeastern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey, and New York City, and much of southern New England. That warm front moves through, may show up as a little bit of light snow in the morning hours on Tuesday, but then some rain showers as temperatures will be warming. It's a warm front, so we'll get into some milder weather for the midweek. After the warm front goes through, skies will be partly cloudy. And then on Wednesday, temperatures in the 40s. On Christmas Day, it looks like a warm day, 40 to 45 warm relatively, with the possibility of some rain. But most of that rain will hold off until Friday. Then we see a major outbreak of some cold air moving in. Second half of next weekend into early next week. Now, if you're traveling today, generally fair weather across most of the eastern portion of the nation, out and west. Still looking at lots of rain from central California, northward up through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and western sections of Montana, western portions of Wyoming. And it looks like in the mountains, of course, there it's a tremendous amount of snow along the coast, a tremendous amount of rainfall, and it's going to just continue that flooding situation that they have been having in sections of Oregon and Washington State. But uh in the east, it's just high pressure, and that means dry weather into the New York area, no problems weather-wise. Again, all these problems that I talk about is just because of the weather. Anything else that happens, that's uh something else. But the weather is going to be pretty good in the New York area, so no problems weather wise there. Up in Boston, no problem. Atlanta's gonna be dry. Charlotte, dry, might be some scattered light showers or thunderstorms in South Florida. Um, some rain in Houston, but dry in Dallas. Snow showers are possible in Chicago, but nothing major. Also, snow showers are possible in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and out on the west coast, dry in LA and San Diego, but rainy weather, as mentioned in San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle today. I'm an EM Justine Fellethier, and I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Tuesday. See you then.
