Sun Returns Today, Rain Builds By Friday
Hi, this is Bidi Brother Steve Pelletier and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Wednesday. It is the seventh day of the month of January 2026. And we had some rain showers during the overnight across the northeast. Some dense fog advisories were also in affecting northeastern PA, Central and Northern New Jersey, southeastern New York. That's lifting any early going today. As a matter of fact, as the day wears on, we're probably going to get into some pretty nice improvement. We're expecting skies to become mostly sunny this afternoon on more gusty west winds, but that'll be during the afternoon hours as our high temperatures today range into the middle to upper 40s. Now at night it's going to be partly cloudy, but not as cold as it has been. Overnight lows from 32 to 37. And tomorrow's weather also features a great day. Plenty of sunshine. Highs will reach about 48 to 53, depending upon where you are in the city, probably up to around 53, 54 degrees. Same in Philly and Baltimore, but uh in central northern New Jersey, about the upper 40s and lower 50s, southeast New York too. Looks like fair skies for tomorrow night, but then Friday it's going to be an increase in clouds. We'll bring us some rain in the afternoon at night. Expected high temperatures will be ranging into about 50 to 55. Also in the 50s on Saturday, we've got a very mild day. As a matter of fact, the rain is likely an early going and during the afternoon with a secondary storm expected to form and move across the area. That will give us some showers, possibly into Sunday. Then a strong high pressure starts to build in from the northwest. Cold front moves through. We get into some nice but fair but uh seasonably cold weather for Sunday and into early next week. Now, if you're traveling by air today, with a little frontal system that moved through during the overnight, now off to our east and south. That uh front basically dry. It does have a little bit of cloud cover, it extends from northern Georgia and northern Mississippi and Alabama, and then into the Carolinas, and then just off the Del Marva and Jersey coast, and it'll most likely become stationary just to our south. Warm air is spreading across the Dakotas, and that's going to cause uh a lot of melting out that way, a little bit of a thaw for the upper Midwest, which has had tremendously cold weather of late. And it looks like uh out on the west coast, uh the showers are still across central and southern California. It's now moved into Arizona, and it looks like central and northern California and more rain moving into the Pacific Northwest as well. But uh we are looking at good weather in Atlanta, as mentioned, and Charlotte, no problems there. I had some fog earlier in the day in the Newark, LaGuardia, JFK area. That's all lifting. Could be some clouds, maybe a few showers in Boston, dry in the Chicago area, also dry, Minneapolis, St. Paul. Uh Houston and Dallas and Denver all looking fair. And just cloud cover in San Diego, maybe a shower or two in LA, but rainy weather for San Francisco later in the day, mostly just clouds for today, and then rainy weather in Portland and Seattle, as mentioned. I've been your ball, just heat fellow, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. We're just taking a little break in the east here. Hope you have a good one. Talk to you first thing tomorrow.
