Sunday Weather Reset

Stephen Pellettiere
SPEAKER_00:

Hi, this is Meteorology Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com. On your Sunday, it is the 11th day of the month of January 2026. And we've had that little warm-up in the rainy situation now off to our east as the storm moves offshore. High pressure is now building in. We'll have near normal conditions for today and for tomorrow along the eastern seaboard, north of the Carolinas, up to about the Boston area. We are looking at this high pressure moving in for about a couple of days. So with sunshine today, our temperatures will range generally in 40 to 45 for the most part around the area. At night it'll be partly cloudy down to the 25 to 30 degree rain. So anything that you have that's liquid during the daytime, puddles or little areas of poor drainage, that will probably freeze towards daybreak. Just keep that in mind if it's close to either a handicapped parking area or uh some places where you'd normally walk. Now, daytime on Monday, mostly sunny. Highs will reach the upper 30s and lower 40s, partly cloudy at night, 28. Tuesday, sunshine 45. Wednesday looks like clouds 49, and we have a frontal system moving towards us. Low pressure will probably form to our south. Could be a little rain or snow on Thursday into Friday. Then Friday afternoon clearing looks like fair weather, but cold on Saturday. And another frontal system or low pressure, possibly affecting the area one week from today on Sunday of next week. In the meantime, for today, as mentioned, we're getting into a clearing trend. Breezy and cooler weather, the temperature is closer to normal, highs in the 40s today. And for your traveling, traveling by air today, that strong northwesterly flow is going to make some snow showers in the Chicago, Cleveland area, also in Detroit. Looks like a clearing trend for Minneapolis and down along the Gulf Coast, Houston and Dallas Fort Worth also looking dry. The clearing trend takes hold, but there could be some clouds in the Charlotte area, but no bad weather that will be affecting those regions. Also, Atlanta is looking pretty good. Central and South Florida. Well, Central Florida, maybe some rain showers with the frontal system, but South Florida generally good weather. West Coast, dry in San Diego, LA, and San Francisco. Showery weather expected in Portland and Seattle today. For the New York area, however, keep in mind we do have gusty winds out of the northwest. That should slow things down just a little bit, but the weather situation is improving as the day continues today. I've been your bodger, Steve Pellethiery and I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day. Today, talk to you first thing on Monday. See you then.
