Another Storm?
Hi, this is Meteorologist Steve Bellaterian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpod.com on your Tuesday. It's the 27th day of the month of January 2026. Month going by very quickly. And we've had some storms, we've had some cold weather, we've had some warm weather, but I was just checking some of the uh uh average monthly temperatures so far for Philadelphia, for Allentown, Baltimore, D.C., up to New York and even up to the Boston area. And most places are very close to near normal, if not below, at this point. Uh, I do see that Philadelphia is about one degree above. Uh Baltimore showing about two degrees above normal, but uh elsewhere it's all at or below. And with the remaining few days of this month of January being well below normal, all places will most likely have temperatures averaging about one degree below normal. And with this recent snowfall that we've had above normal snowfall for this month of January, and that's two months in a row, December and January, that we've had uh at or above normal snowfall. Big difference than what it's been over the last three years. Now, there's some talk about a new storm coming up this weekend. Well, yes, we are, and we're looking at some of the guidance. Well, the blend does show that uh some places around the mid-Atlantic and Northeast will get some snow. Uh, most of it centered around Del Marvo, southern New Jersey, coastal New Jersey, Long Island, and coastal Massachusetts with a tremendous amount of snow up in the Boston and New England area from this last storm. The possibility of another deep low for this upcoming weekend. But our latest information as of Tuesday morning is showing that it's going to be a little bit farther to the east and northeast and offshore. But the cold weather will remain up until then. So we're going to have sunshine for today as temperatures only rains in the upper teens, low to middle twenties, well below normal for your Tuesday. Some clouds tonight, another cold front, and then clear overnight lows, zero to five above. Then an increase in clouds on Wednesday, featuring highs in the lower 20s, but mostly cloudy at night, back into the single digits once again. The cold weather continues into Thursday and Friday. Thursday, sunshine 21. Friday, a high of only 18. As uh we continue with these Arctic blasts moving across the area with these little frontal systems from time to time. It might give you some snow flurries. Saturday's looking partly sunny at a high of 22. Uh, maybe some snow showers on Saturday night, early Sunday. Then we get into clouds and continued colder weather into Sunday evening, but Monday of next week, temperatures, second day of uh second day of February, Groundhog's Day. Look like we're going to have temperatures in the lower 30. So still a little bit below normal, but much easier to take than what we're going to be getting over the next several days. Well, if you're traveling by air today, you know, every time you have a big storm around the northeast, you always have a backup of uh flights. Uh people who can't fly on Sunday because of the big winter storm uh have to be moved into Monday, along with the people who scheduled on Monday and Tuesday, and of course, still some cleanup operations at area airports, and everything gets just slowed down. And you might still have some slowdowns at least into Wednesday and Thursday. Weather-wise, though, no problem in Atlanta because of the weather. It's going to be sunny there. It looks like dry weather, but chilly across central and north Florida. And also down in Miami, it looks like dry weather continues. Charlotte looking dry. Houston, Dallas Fort Worth on the dry side. Some snow showers in Chicago, West Coast showing some generally foggy conditions in LA early, but then some clearing. San Diego, LA looking okay. Looks like some rain in San Francisco. Generally dry today in Portland and Seattle. Next frontal system will be arriving with some rainy conditions on Wednesday. I'm Eddie Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Wednesday. See you then.
