Carolina Snow!
Hi, this is Mini Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com on your Thursday. It's the 29th day, the month of January, 2026. It's been cold second half. Looks like more cold weather for today, tomorrow, even in Saturday and Sunday. Sunday's that interesting situation where an area of low pressure could give Raleigh, North Carolina between, let's say, seven and fourteen inches of snow. Also looking at snow at Wilmington, North Carolina might be about six inches. That's going to be on Sunday and Sunday night. Similar amounts to the outer banks. Also looking at snow in Virginia Beach and in Richmond. It may even touch into much of Del Marva and possibly skirt the Jersey coast or even over New Jersey as well. Of course, if it goes there, it's and it's a coastal situation. That means Long Island will get hit by some snow. That'll be on later Sunday. Even the possibility of some snow showers in the southern portion of the Great Lakes coast. In the meantime, what we are looking at right now is just a decent day, but the cold weather advisory will continue in through Saturday at least. Maybe even be into Sunday. Every day temperatures are only in the single digits for nighttime lows, daytime highs, teens to lower 20s, averaging between 15 and 18 degrees below normal for several days like this into this upcoming weekend, into the last day of the month, ensures that we're going to have uh the temperatures for the month of January 2026 below normal by about two degrees or more, depending upon how much colder it does get early on Friday. But if you're traveling for today, it looks like we are going to have decent weather at the airline hubs in New York, Norwich, LaGuardia, JFK. Boston's looking pretty good too. There will be some snow showers around Albany. Also some snow showers in Erie and Cleveland, but down in the Richmond area is looking dry. Raleigh, North Carolina, which also could get between five and fifteen inches of snow on Sunday or Sunday night. But Raleigh right now is perfectly clear and nice temperatures. Well, still on the cold side in the 30s, but uh good aviation weather into Charlotte and into Atlanta. Also essential in South Florida, no problems weather-wise, although they will probably be sharing sometime this weekend or early next week in some of that very cold weather, at least down to as far as Orlando or Daytona Beach. In the meantime, West Coast looking dry in LA and San Francisco, but rainy weather in Seattle, Tacoma, Chicago also looking uh just a bit windy but fair, and maybe some snow showers to the east of Lake Michigan. I'm Eddie Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing tomorrow. See you then.
