Hi, this is Media Brother Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com. On your Monday, it is Washington's birthday, a federal holiday. It's also known, aka as President's Day. Basically, it represents just about all presidents, but uh the month of February we celebrate Lincoln's birthday and also uh Washington's birthday. But Lincoln's birthday was never a federal holiday. There's a lot of reasons for that. We can get into that another time. But basically, uh Washington's birthday has been the federal holiday all along, but we now call it President's Day. Hope you have a good one. We do start with a little bit of cloud cover. We did have a little bit of light snow and rain during the overnight hours across eastern PA, New Jersey, Southeast New York, New York City, and Long Island. And it's all moving east now, so we'll start off with some cloud cover as the day wears on, though, looking for temperatures to get up between 40 and 45. That'll be uh a gradual clearing trend of the afternoon on northeast winds. Looks like most of that accumulation, generally according to an inch or so. A few places in northern Monmouth County and New Jersey and sections of Mercer, Bucks counties, even sections of western Montgomery up in Lehigh in Pennsylvania. They had a little bit more from this system, but it's basically a rainstorm that moved off the Carolina and Virginia coast, just touched into the year and gave us a little bit of light snow. We had some snow showers early Saturday, and I'm also during the overnight this morning. We are getting into a clearing trend. Now, for tonight, there is going to be the possibility of a rain or snow shower. A little front moving through overnight lows 29. And Tuesday, partly sunny, 47 for a high, actually 45 to 50, a good range, and that's above normal. Mostly cloudy at night down to about 30 to 35, and rain is likely on Wednesday. Wednesday's high temperatures will range in the middle 40s. Then clouds and sun on Thursday in the 40s, and Friday also a chance of some rain. But it's going to be a little bit colder. High temperatures will range between 40 and 45, nighttime lows in the 30s, and rain likely on Friday, and a clearing trend, still with temperatures in the 40s this upcoming weekend, but it does look like another storm affecting us with probably rain on Sunday and Monday of next week. Now, if you're traveling by air today, on the 16th day of February, your Monday, we have low pressure moving off the eastern seaboard. A little bit of cloud cover across the Northeast, but no problems weatherwise getting into North LaGuardia, JFK, or up into the Boston area. Philadelphia, Baltimore, D.C. all looking good, as does Dulles. Looking good at Charlotte. Dry weather in Atlanta as well, no problems weatherwise there. Central and South Florida, maybe a few showers across the Keys, but Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm all looking pretty good, as does Fort Myers and uh Tappa St. Pete up on the West Coast. And it looks like dry weather in Houston and Dallas, Chicago's looking good. Hey, no problem in Minneapolis either, weatherwise. Lots of rainy weather now moving into the West Coast. Overcast and wet from San Diego to LA to San Francisco, all the way up to Portland and into Seattle. That will be moving across the Rockies and causing quite a bit of snow in those areas over the next day or two. So some wet West Coast wet weather. It could slow things down if you're getting in and out of there, but it does look like dry weather for the most part everywhere else. I'm Eddie Major, Steve Pelletier. I am the weatherman. Hope you have a good holiday. And we'll talk to you first thing on Tuesday. See you then.
