Hi, this is Meteorologist Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theWeathermanPod.com on your Thursday. It is the 19th day of February, 2026. We've got some wet weather across the mid-Atlantic and northeast from the Virginias northward, right up through Maryland and Delmarva, New Jersey, Eastern and Central PA into southern southern New York. We are looking for cloudy skies. A little bit milder for the day. Temperatures will range back up to about 40 to 45 for the most part. It'll be some occasional rain. Most of the rain will hold off towards night, probably daytime is about 30%, nighttime, about 70%. And some of that rain during the overnight, coupled with temperatures that'll be chilly, 33 to 38. That could go some icing in far northwestern New Jersey and northeastern PA, southeast New York. And some rain, likely on Friday. Some of the rain, I think, may be heavy at times. And temperatures for the day only near 40 strong east winds. Rain in Drizzle, likely at night, 34. Still a chance of some showers Saturday, 46, but then Sunday clouding up and a chance of some snow 37. And I'll talk about that. Low pressure is going to be moving across from the Tennessee Valley, across in through North and South Carolina and Virginia, and then off the eastern seaboard. If it develops a little bit further north, it could be a significant snowstorm for, say, Eastern PA, New Jersey, New York, and Southern New England. But if it just goes almost due east rather rapidly, and then it'll just be light amounts of some snow showers, maybe on Sunday night and early Monday. So we'll know more as we get into Friday and Saturday. And we'll, of course, update you here on the Weatherman Pod. And looking at uh a weather situation that uh will be cooler next week for the last few days of the month of February. Probably uh near normal conditions, but maybe a little bit colder than normal on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, warming up by Thursday and Friday for the last day of the month, maybe a little bit milder as we get closer to the beginning of March. Now, if you're traveling by air today, it will be overcast in the New York area. Norwork LaGuardia, JFK, just overcast. There might be a little bit of drizzle and some fog, so maybe a little bit slowly, but no major weather delays for the New York metropolitan area. Boston looking dry with high pressure right over them. Looks like some showers in Philly, showers also in Baltimore, D.C., and Dulles, and all the way down to Richmond. Uh looking at some rainy weather in Charlotte today, and uh in and out of the Atlanta area looks dry, so no problems weather-wise, into northern Georgia. Central and South Florida all looking dry. Dry weather, maybe a few showers around use in Dallas Fort Worth, but nothing that's gonna be holding up the weather there. Rainy conditions in Chicago, uh sharply colder and snow into central Minnesota, and out on the west coast, another low pressure system. Going to give another between four and eight inches of snow to the Sierra Nevadas, and of course, up around Donner Pass. Downer's Pass is uh that uh where Route 80 actually goes, right over the uh Sierra Nevada and then down, filters down into the San Francisco, Oakland area. So we're at that highest elevation there. It's called Donner's Pass, and uh very prone to these tremendous uh snowstorms, rain and snowstorms that move in uh from the Pacific, and that will be happening there. But uh looks like uh some delays for San Diego, LA, not too bad in San Francisco, up in uh Portland and Seattle. You also have rain delays in those places. But look out for that. Heavy amounts of snow in the Sierra and Nevada, western sections of Nevada, southern and eastern portions of Oregon, and even snow across sections of what looks like South Dakota, and also into Nebraska and out of eastern Montana, as more cold air filters down out of central Canada. I'm Eddie Model, Steve Felletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today, and we'll talk to you first thing on Friday. See you then.
