Hi, this is video Steve Pelletieran. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theWeathermanPod.com on your Friday. It's the 27th day of the month of February. It's only 28 days in the month, so tomorrow's the last day. And the weather's going to be pretty nice today and tomorrow after one uh very cold, very snowy month of February. You know, we had similar situations like this back in 2021. It just seemed like uh every week there was something going on. It was a tremendous month, weather-wise, a very cold month, too. Interestingly enough, we've had colder than normal months, as I mentioned in the last previous podcast, of December, January, and February, all below normal temperature-wise. Well, it was also below normal precipitation for at least December and January, actually, all the way back into July. But uh, this month of February, it was finally a little bit above normal. Not by a lot, but uh at least better. And all because of that big storm that we had on the 22nd, 23rd, a tremendous nor'easter caused blizzard conditions across uh eastern uh sections of Massachusetts, eastern New England, and Long Island and New York City, coastal New Jersey. Further to the west, really wasn't blizzard conditions. There was no wind, there was some heavy snow, but not as great. Uh for example, you normally expect a lot of snow up in the Poconos or the Catskills of northeastern Pennsylvania, New York. Well, they got light amounts of snow from that big storm. All the snow was in Long Island, coastal Connecticut, Jersey Shore, uh North Jersey Shore, I should say, and out into New England. So uh that storm uh was a classic nor'easter. Uh blizzard-like conditions, as we mentioned in previous podcasts also. But uh it looks like now we are getting into some nice weather for today. And tomorrow it'll be sunny today for the most part, middle 40s, near 50 degrees in some spots, clear at night, down to near the freezing mark. And then Saturday sunshine up to 50 to 55 in many places. Lots of melting snow. Those snow piles are gigantic, though, in many places across the northeast. It's gonna take a while to melt. But uh, we are gonna get into some warmer conditions in March. I'll get to that in just a moment. But on Sunday, there is a chance of some snow showers as we bring in the month of March. The old saying was in like a lion, out like a lamb. Well, we might have some snow and then some cold weather on Monday, so that's lion-like, I suppose. And then by the time we get into the middle portion of the month, it is going to be warmer. We are going to see a warming trend probably from about the 4th or 5th of March all the way up to about the 14th. We can see well above normal temperatures, and it probably means that the month of March in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast is going to be warmer than normal. And uh maybe we'll have a couple of storms too, you never know. Either way, if you are traveling by air today, great weather with us across the northeast, Philadelphia, Baltimore, D.C., all the way up to Norfolk, LaGuardia, JFK, no problems. Great weather up into the Boston area, Logan, and out in Cleveland, Hopkins International, not bad at all. So looking at Chicago with uh generally fair skies, uh Midway and O'Hare, both looking pretty good. Wisconsin, no problems. Maybe some snow showers in colder weather in Minneapolis, St. Paul, but it will be dry. Uh some showers in Central and South Florida, actually, North Florida, most of the shower action, because the frontal system is stationary right there, but South Florida, no problem. But if you're going to say like Jacksonville or Pensacola, it could be some weather delays because of rain there. Houston, the rain is ending. Dallas, it's going to be dry and warm. West Coast, dry in San Diego, LA, and San Francisco. Also dry but just cloudy up in Portland. Looks like rainy weather in Seattle, Tacoma. What else is new? I've been your model, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Saturday, last day of the month. See you then.
