Unseasonable March Warmth
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Meteorologist Steve Pelleterina. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Tuesday. It is magically the 10th day, the month of March 2026. And my goodness was it beautiful on Monday with temperatures in many spots going all the way into the 70s. Looks like highs again in the 70s for your Tuesday in many places across the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast. New York City should get up to about 76, 77 degrees. And a good portion of central and northern New Jersey, it will be in the 70s with plenty of sunshine. Looking at fair to partly cloudy conditions at night, there'll be some patchy fog overnight with lows down only near 50. That's above the normal daytime high. So as you mentioned, it's well above normal. But there is a chance of some showers moving in on Wednesday. That's going to be frontal system later day and evening, otherwise partial sun. Still in the mid-70s, but that chance of showers and maybe even a thunderstorm on Wednesday night could bring us some locally heavy downpours. That'll be from Wednesday night, early Thursday. Rain in the morning hours on Thursday, ending in the afternoon. Temperatures cooling back to near 62, still above normal. At night down to 31. Friday's looking mostly sunny highs, only 45 to 50. Saturday also near 50 with partial sun. And Sunday, a mostly cloudy day, but highs ranging up to near 60 degrees. It looks like that temperature trends in the 50s will continue into early next week with some rainy weather expected on Monday. Now, if you're flying today, looks like fair weather for the New York area. No problems up in the Boston area, D.C., maybe a few light scattered showers, but uh no big problems there. Charlotte's looking pretty good. Atlanta Hartsfield and Atlanta also doing very good for the busiest airport in the world. And looking at uh Central and South Florida, all under generally fair skies. Maybe some showers across the Keys, but no problems into Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Houston's dry, but it looks like some locally severe thunderstorms could cause delays into Dallas Fort Worth. Also into the Chicago area, a chance of some showers, just cloud cover there. It looks like some rain and snow showers possible in Minneapolis, St. Paul. And it looks like also some snow across the northern portions of Wyoming, southern Montana, and into northern Idaho. West Coast, though, dry in LA and San Francisco. Rainy weather, Portland and Seattle, little change there. I've been your module, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope I have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Wednesday. See you then.
