Welcome And Date Check
SPEAKER_00Hi, this has been your welcome, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Friday. It is the 27th day of the month of March, 2026. And our weather for today, well, it looks like a little bit of rain across the Mid Atlantic states from uh Virginia's northward, right up through Maryland and into New Jersey and New York. It looks like any of that rain probably during the morning hours. There is a clearing trend up the Hudson Valley of New York, and also a clearing trend into central and northern New England as well. But as that rain moves further offshore and the stronger north winds take over, you'll notice temperatures falling, starting out near 50, falling back into the 40s and even into the upper 30s by later on this evening. And on a few spots, there may be a little bit of uh light snow shower action during the overnight tonight into Saturday morning, especially off our western and colder spots. But either way, anything, any type of moisture that we have on the ground may even freeze because towards daybreak on Saturday, temperatures will be down to about 28 to 33 degrees. The grounds are warm, but there could be that patchy ice, so that's something we'll be watching for. In the meantime, for Saturday, it looks like a fair cool day. Normal high should be up to about 52. It's only going to get up to about 40 to 45 on Saturday, so below normal day. Northwest winds at 10 to 15. Clear at night, again down into the upper 20s. But Sunday's looking mostly sunny, starts to recover very quickly. That's what you'll notice in uh late March, early April. Temperatures go up very quickly. 55 for a high on Sunday, 63 with partial sun on Monday. But Monday night, Tuesday, and even a portion of Wednesday until the midweek, we have a good possibility of some rain as we transition from March to the beginning of April on Wednesday. Now, if you're traveling by air today, a weather situation in the New York area, just some light cloud cover and also light sprinkles and showers. Doesn't look like anything much, so I don't think anything major delays from that. A little bit of a heavier rainfall possible down in Baltimore and D.C. Philadelphia also about the same. Heading down to Charlotte, looks like just clouds and maybe some afternoon showers. Atlanta also a possibility of some showers at night. Daytime should be dry. No problems there. Central and South Florida, well, there could be some light shower action out South Florida, especially out to the Keys. And in Texas, it looks like uh the Houston area will be dry. Dallas Fort worth some showers. Chicago, colder weather moving into there, but the weather will be fair. Minnesota looks like Minneapolis will be fair and dry, but on the cold side. And uh that cold weather will continue just for about a day or so. LA, San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland all looking dry. No problems weather wise on the West Coast today. I'm in your monster, Steve Pelletieran. I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Saturday. See you then.
