Quick Intro And Date
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is MediaBrot. Steve Pellethiery and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theWeatherMedPod.com on your Thursday. It's the second day of the month of April, 2026. Look at the nation has shown that a lot of moisture is now starting to stream over the North American continent. It was basically on the dry side for the last couple of days, and now looks like lots of rainfall on the west coast, uh, western and central and northern Rockies. Also rain and snow across sections of the Dakotas, central and northern Minnesota, and rainy conditions from the central basin, just around over Iowa, southward in through Missouri, Central Mississippi River Valley, and East Texas, where there's some locally severe weather occurring from central Texas, northward into Oklahoma. And an eastern seaboard with a stationary front across the area. That's going to keep our skies cloudy on Thursday, and the possibility of some occasional rain and showers, but more importantly, some cooler temperature trends that will continue probably into at least Thursday night and early Friday. Then we get into a little bit of a warming trend as that frontal system and low pressure finally starts to drift off to the north. Our weather forecast for today calling for a cloudy day and cooler east winds at 10 to 15, a bit gusty, a 30% chance of some scattered showers and temperatures, while only ranging in the upper 40s and lower 50s, which is pretty close to normal for this time of year. A little bit below, but we've been so above normal the last several days. Now at night, there's still that possibility of some drizzle and some showers, with nighttime lows of 40 to 45. Then cloudy skies to start the day on Friday as that front lifts a little bit further to the north, we get into sunshine and milder weather. Highs will rains into the middle 70s, a little bit cooler along the coastal region from Long Island southward to the Jersey coast all the way down to Del Marva, as those east winds will be a little bit stronger in those places. But interior spots, temperatures will go into the 70s on Friday. By Saturday, it looks like a mostly sunny day. Highs will rain's close to 80, but there will be some showers overnight Saturday into Easter Sunday, Sunday, mainly midday, those showers, and we get into a clearing trend and a little seasonable weather for early next week. Now you're traveling by air today. As I mentioned, the weather situation shows the funnel system almost stationary in an east flow across from uh Baltimore northward, Wilmington, Philadelphia, and even into New York City and up to the Boston area. Even some snow in central and northern portions of Maine today. But it looks like just rainy weather across much of New York State and extending into central and eastern New England. Some locally severe or icy conditions are expected across the UP of Michigan and across Lake Superior from Duluth, northward and through northern Minnesota and even into sections of North Dakota. There'll be some snow there. It looks like rainy conditions in the central Mississippi River Valley that eventually will track off towards the northeast. But a cloudy, rainy day, and that means IFR conditions and light to moderate delays weather-wise into the New York, LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark areas. Same thing for Boston. Lighter delays in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and D.C. And it looks like dry conditions in Charlotte, also dry in Atlanta. Only widely scattered afternoon, early evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms, but no weather delays expected in Central and South Florida. Houston is starting to dry out just a bit. Maybe some late-day thunderstorms in Dallas. And finally some drier weather in the West Coast. It looks like Los Angeles, San Francisco, dry. Just a few isolated showers in Portland and Seattle today, but no major effect as far as inbound and outbound flights into the Pacific Northwest on your Thursday. I've been your brother, Steve Fellow Tier. I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Friday. See you then.
