Greeting And Holiday Wishes
SPEAKER_00Hi, this has been your Steve Pelletier and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com on your Sunday, fifth day of the month of April, 2026. Happy Easter, Happy Passover, everyone. Weather situation for today, a rainy one across the mid-Atlantic states, as we do have a strong funnel system due to move through sometime between, let's say, late morning and early afternoon. It'll be accompanied, preceded, and maybe even followed by some scattered showers and even some heavier thunderstorms. That means with temperatures for the day ranging into the 60s, about 65 to 70 degrees, some of those thunderstorms with some strong gusty winds and heavy downpours. But most of the time, most places looking at between a quarter and a half inch of rainfall during the daytime on Sunday. But hopefully by the middle to later afternoon, we'll get into some clearing and then becoming mostly clear on Sunday night, with nighttime lows chilly down into the upper 30s and lower 40s. Monday's weather features sunshine, highs of the day, 52 to 57. Tuesday sunny, also 50 to 55, 50 to 55 for Wednesday. So temperature trends this week a little bit below normal for this time of year. Now, if you're traveling by air today on this Sunday, expect some delays across the Northeast if you're traveling early in the day, especially at New York, Newark, LaGuardia, JFK, up in the Boston area, even down to Philly and Baltimore. The frontal system moving through during the morning and early afternoon will cause some isolated maybe one to two hour delays because of the weather situation and the possibility of some thunderstorms. So there may even be some inbound and outbound delays because of this front moving through. Once it gets through the area during the afternoon, the weather situation will improve. But scattered showers and thunderstorms due at Charlotte, also at Atlanta, however, uh clearing as the day wears on in the Atlanta area. Scattered showers and thunderstorms, Central and South Florida from Fort Myers, then in Naples across through Miami and West Palm. And it looks like Houston, showers will be clearing through during the morning hours. Dry but nice weather in Dallas Fort Worth. West Coast continues dry in LA, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle, looking pretty good weather wise. And back to the Great Lakes. Looks like dry weather in Chicago. Might be some snow and rain in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. So a little cold front moves through there during the daytime today. I'm a D Roger Steve Pellet here and I on the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Monday. See you then.
