Welcome And Today’s Forecast
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Vidy Prouder, Steve Pellet here, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theWeathermanPod.com on your Thursday. It's the ninth day of the month of April 2026. And our weather for today is going to be fair across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. There we mainly uh cover what's happening from about DC northward up to about the Boston area. Senate, of course, right where we are in central northern New Jersey and New York City. And what looks like our weather situation for today is going to be mostly sunny. Now, during the overnight, uh, this morning temperatures were back down into the 20s in some sections across the Poconos, uh, northeastern Pennsylvania, the Anirondacks, up in Sullivan County, New York, Orange County, you'll saw temperatures down into the upper teens and lower 20s. That's because of what we call radiational cooling, clear skies, calm winds. Towards daybreak, the temperatures just plummet. And that's with uh some warming starting to come in during the daytime today, too. So we are going to have sunshine. It's going to be about five to seven degrees warmer than Wednesday, and temperatures up to about the upper 50s and lower 60s. It'll be clear tonight, not as cold. May not go below the freezing market. This is probably one of the last times that we're even getting close to the freezing markets. Overnight lows Thursday night and Friday back into the low to middle 30s. Daytime Friday, sunshine all the way up to 70 degrees. Looks like a slight chance of a shower. A little warm front poking through on Friday night. Actually going to wash out. So we're going to have sunshine on East Flow temperatures up to around 62 on Saturday. Sunday, 60 to 65. Monday, clouds 70s to near 80 degrees. And Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, well, we could have temperatures all the way up to 80 to 85. Big change in the pattern, just over five to seven days. Now, if you're traveling by air today, as expected, general conditions across the Eastern Seaboard looking pretty good, so no problems weather-wise, into Boston, Logan or Norwich, New York, LaGuardia, JFK, Ice Lip, even down at Philly, Baltimore, D.C., and even down to Richmond. You're looking at very, very good weather for today. Fair skies expecting in Charlotte, also in Atlanta, Central and South Florida, still under scattered showers and thunderstorms have been there for the last couple of days, and looks like that rainy pattern is going to continue once again for today's stationary front just south of the Keys, extending just south of Miami, as the catalyst for areas of low pressure to form and move over the southern Florida Peninsula, causing some of those torrential rains. Also rain in Houston, but Dallas drying out a bit. Chicago, a little cold front moving through, so there could be some slight glaze and into the Chicago either midway or here. And up in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area looks like a clearing trend of some fair, cooler weather expected for today. West Coast show in LA, good San Francisco, some rain. Looks like Portland and Seattle, generally clouds, but on the dry side for today. New feature I'm opening up today. A lot of folks have been asking me about yeah, I'm not going today, I'm going tomorrow. What's it going to be like then? Well, the problem areas will most likely be up in the Boston area, maybe around Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Well, there will be some rain. Rain impossible, just a few showers isolated, moving into the New York, Norw area, maybe on Friday evening. And also looks like some wet weather in Amarillo. So still rainy in the uh Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth area. The showers over South Friday don't look too bad, but most of the West Coast is going to be under rain, so there could be some delays into Seattle and also into Portland on Friday. Rain in San Francisco as well. Maybe even some showers in LA. I'm Jamal, just Steve Pelleterian. I am the weatherman. Have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Friday. See you then.
