Forecast Setup And Date
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Meteorology Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Wednesday, 15th day of the month of April, 2026. And the heat's finally moved into the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, and temperatures during the daytime yesterday ranged well into the 80s. Had some thunderstorms during the evening and overnight hours from Tuesday into Wednesday. And now today we're starting off with sunshine. And again, another very warm day. Actually, even a good five to seven degrees warmer. Could get up to 90 in many spots, maybe even above. But some late day and evening thunderstorms will most likely form over central and northern Pennsylvania and New York State and move across the area. So it was probably be up until about midnight. And then on Thursday morning, we'll start off dry, another partly sunny day. Opera 80s to near 90, slight chance of a shower at night. Friday is the day that we have a frontal system currently across southern Canada. It's going to become active and start moving towards the northeast. That front should move through sometime on Friday night, early Saturday. This time of year, when you have very warm weather in advance of those frontal systems, there could be some locally severe thunderstorms, and that's for later Friday and Friday night. Friday's highs of about 80 to 85. Saturday it cools back. Should be a little clearing trend with temperatures in the 70s. But that frontal system moving through becomes stationary very close by, and that means back to some clouds, maybe some showers for Sunday of this upcoming weekend. Now, if you're flying by air today, it looks like the weather is going to be very nice in the New York area. Very warm, though. High temperatures are expected near 90, Newark, LaGuardia, JFK, and well, conditions should be favorable for in-and-out bound, at least weather-wise. Same thing for Charlotte and Atlanta, Central and South Florida looking dry. Boston area will have some scattered showers. Also, some rain in Chicago. Could be some light delays, light to moderate delays, I should say, into Chicago, Hare or Midway. And up in Minneapolis, St. Paul looks dry, dry in Houston. Afternoon thunderstorms could be locally severe in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth area. That will cause some delays. Dry in LA and San Diego, dry in San Francisco, but rainy weather in Portland and Seattle again today. Quick look into Thursday's weather situation. Everything seems to shift a bit to the east. Looks like dry weather, West Coast, except for the Portland area. Chicago's still dogged by those areas of showers and thunderstorms, but dry in the mid Atlantic and Northeast. So no problems weather wise for Atlanta or down into Florida as well. I'm dear Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. And we'll talk to you first thing on Thursday. See you then.
