Welcome And Date Check
SPEAKER_00Hi, this has been your monster, Steve Pelleterian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com on your Friday, 17th day of the month of April 2026. A warm week so far. Temperatures very close to 90 degrees both on Tuesday, Wednesday, and even on Thursday as well. As temperatures for the most part are going to start going on the downside over the next several days. Weather charts show that we are going to have an area of low pressure just off to our east by the latter portion of today and this evening. That could spark a few showers, but then a strong cold front will be arriving on Sunday. That'll set the stage for sharply cooler weather for early next week. Actually, a good balance of next week on the cooler side and unsettled as an upper level low pressure system will swing across the region and probably be with us for between five and ten days. But for today, it looks like we will have partial sunshine highs in the lower 80s with a 30% chance of afternoon and evening showers and maybe even a thunderstorm. Lows at night 55. Saturday's looking partly sunny, mid to upper 60s only on Saturday. Saturday night, a chance of some showers moving in, maybe even a thunderstorm during the overnight, with nighttime lows back into the lower 50s, upper 40s off to the west and north. Still the chance of that rainy weather. It's going to be a rainy Sunday, as a matter of fact. Temperatures daytime near 60. Probability of rainfall at 80%. Monday mostly sunny, a high of only 51. 32 for a nighttime low and 59, expected for Tuesday, a little bit warmer on Wednesday of next week. If you're traveling by air today, it looks like areas have some scattered showers, some light delays in the New York area. Philadelphia and Baltimore about the same. Maybe a few more delays up in the Boston area as an area of low pressure will just be two there. South. That continues an east flow of IFR conditions. Dry weather in Atlanta and Charlotte also looking pretty good. Central and South Florida. Houston is looking pretty good. Dallas, Fort Worth, also fair weather. Fair weather in Chicago. North of Dallas, up in central Oklahoma, could be some locally severe weather. So if you're heading around those areas, look out for the possibility of some severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. Looks like some rainy weather up in Minneapolis, St. Paul. Dry weather from LA up to San Francisco and then all the way up to Seattle as well. The good weather continuing right through most of the next days. On Friday, it looks like dry conditions for Saturday and temperatures for the most part cooler. An area of rain will be moving through Chicago. So the areas of problems might be Cleveland, Toledo, Chicago, also Dallas Fort Worth. Dry weather West Coast, dry weather east coast on Saturday. I'm India Major, Steve Pellet here, and I am the Weatherman. Hope I have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Saturday. See you then.
