Welcome And Weather Setup
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Video Balder Steve Pelleterian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Saturday. It's the 18th day of the month of April, 2026. A month that has been below normal with precipitation, but above normal with temperatures. And uh well, it looks like our temperature trends are going to be back to near normal for this upcoming week in April. But first for today, not too bad. High temperatures ranging to near 70. Look for partial sunshine, but this time of year, it's cold aloft, very unstable atmosphere, and the sun's getting stronger, and that could fire up some showers, especially later today and tonight. A frontal system working its way out of the eastern Great Lakes in the Tennessee Valley will be arriving in our vicinity during the evening and during the daytime on Sunday. And that's going to bring the mid-Atlantic and northeast areas of rain, somewhere between a quarter and three-quarters of an inch of rainfall, and even the possibility of some thunderstorms. But for your Saturday, look for highs near 70 and at least partial sunshine, but the clouds will be on the increase during the afternoon. And that rainy weather from Richmond all the way up to the Boston area is expected for the evening and for early Sunday. By Sunday afternoon, the frontal system moves offshore, so showers are likely. Temperatures will hold in the 60s on Sunday. Monday looks like a very cool day. It'll be partly sunny, breezy, cool, and uh high temperatures for the day will only range in the 40s to near 50 degrees. That'll be on Monday with a mix of clouds and sun. Starts to warm up just a bit. High temperatures back into the upper 50s to near 60 on Tuesday. Wednesday, lower 70s. And then another series of frontal systems probably moving in through the end of the week, causing uh clouds and sun daytime, the possibility of a passing shower, unfair to partly cloudy, but cool weather at night towards the end of this upcoming week. Now, if you're traveling by air today, it looks like good weather in the New York area, Philadelphia, D.C., Baltimore, all looking pretty good, but that frontal system is going to be arriving. And if you're leaving during the evening hours, there could be some delays because of some showers, but during the daylight hours, I think we're in pretty good shape. Boston, good all day long into the evening hours. Their rain won't be arriving until after midnight. Down in the Atlanta area also dry for the afternoon, but rain likely for the evening. Same in Charlotte. Dry conditions in Orlando, Florida, Tampa St. Pete all the way down to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm. No problems weatherwise there. Could be some locally severe thunderstorms in the Houston and Dallas Fort Worth areas. That frontal system pushes through there. Chicago, the front's already gone through, so they've got some fair weather and uh fair but windy and cool conditions for the windy city. And that'll be on Saturday, but no problems weatherwise getting into there. Still looks like dry weather, much of the West Coast, San Diego, LA, San Francisco, all the way up to Portland and Seattle. Looking at some great weather coming up for your Saturday. Quick look for Sunday. There will be delays in the New York, LaGuardia, JFK, and also down into the Baltimore, Philadelphia area. Also up in Boston because of the rainy weather. That'll be on Sunday morning. So expect some delays weather wise there. The weather will be improving in Atlanta and dry conditions in Chicago, but windy. And mostly dry conditions on the West Coast, but looks like some rain moving into Seattle, Tacoma. I'm Indi Major, Steve Pelleterian. I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Sunday. See you then.
