Quick Sunday Weather Setup
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Middleman. Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Sunday, 19th day of the month of April 2026. And a frontal system approaching the area will bring scattered showers and even the possibility of some isolated thunder showers on the early going on Sunday. A couple of frontal systems moving through the region will mean some relief coming and some cooler conditions too. Big area of high pressures building down into the Dakotas. Another area of high pressures over East Texas and Oklahoma. The frontal system lies just south of Chicago, extending up towards Toledo and into southern and eastern sections of Ottawa province in Canada. A frontal system moving through some time during the latter afternoon and early evening will meet a return to some fairer and cooler weather as we head into Monday and Tuesday. But for your Sunday, expect temperatures only in the 60s with the possibility of some scattered showers, and also the possibility of a passing shower or two with that next cold front on Sunday night. Nighttime low temperatures drop back into the 40s. Monday is looking like clouds and sunshine and highs generally in the 50s to near 60. And at night it's going to be clear and chilly with temperatures back into the middle 30s. And in many spots off to the west and north there could be an isolated frost. Heading towards Tuesday and Wednesday, the temperatures start to meld up just a bit. Highs will range close to 60 to 65 on Tuesday, back up to near 70 on Wednesday of this week. If you're flying by air, today it looks like some scattered light showers in New York, LaGuardia, JFK, and also a little bit heavier rainfall up in a Boston area. Does look like still the possibility of some showers in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and D.C., but a trend will be towards clearing. Chicago will have some showers, but no major weather problems there. And looking at fair skies in Houston and Dallas Fort Worth and Central and South Florida, also Atlanta and Charlotte. Good conditions are expected to continue throughout the daytime today and into Monday. San Diego, LA, and San Francisco, generally okay, although some weather will be moving into Northern California. And the next area of rain will be arriving in Portland and Seattle late today on Sunday and on Monday. Good balance of today, the weather does look good. Looking ahead into Monday's weather, as mentioned, that frontal system will be through the area, so there still might be a few leftover showers in the New York area, but nothing major as far as weather is concerned. So it should be no problems flying in and out of the New York, Philadelphia, or Baltimore area. I mean even up to the Boston area as well. Fair skies with high pressure right over Chicago, good weather in Atlanta. The problem spots probably around Houston and southern Texas Gulf Coast, and that rain moves into California from San Francisco northward, right up and through Oregon and also into Seattle a little bit later on on Monday. I'm intermittent, Steve Pelletieri and I am the weather man. Hope you have a great day today. Your first thing on Monday. See you then.
