Welcome And Sunday Setup

SPEAKER_00

All right, this is BD Roger Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com on your Sunday, 26th day of the month of April, 2026. It looks like the big much needed rainstorm that we had a Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening now moving offshore. Looks like any shower action that we had in the early going now starting to move off, and we get into a clearing trend. Should become mostly sunny as our highs get up to about the middle 50s to near 60 to the south. And then mostly clear skies at night, with overnight lows down to 40 to about 45 degrees. Still that east wind will keep temperatures a little bit on the cool side. Normal highs for this time of year should be in the mid-60s. That's what we're going to have both on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures generally between about 63 and 68 degrees. That makes it a little bit cooler along the Jersey Shore, the Long Island coast, and the coast of Del Marva, where that onshore breeze, ocean temperatures are only in the 40s to the lower 50s. So it keeps temperatures a little bit cooler there. So keep that in mind. That'll be mainly during the afternoon hours. So a little bit chillier there, a little bit warmer further inland. Philadelphia, also up to around 70. So will Baltimore, D.C., up the New York City area. But along the Jersey coast, say from Long Branch down to Toms River and all the way down to Brigantino Atlantic City and Cape May. You'll probably find temperatures on Sunday, generally in the 50s, and as it will be in most places, but also in the 50s on Monday as well. Maybe warming up with a little bit of a wind shift as we get onto Tuesday of this week. Much needed some uh showers around the middle portion of this week. That'll be on Wednesday and Thursday, the end of this month of April. Doesn't look like a lot of rain, but uh any showers that we do get, uh welcome with uh amounts of rainfall for the month of April, down about maybe about uh 40% of what we normally get. So uh we're probably shy of about an inch and a half of rainfall in most areas on average. Now, if you're traveling by air today, the low pressure system is now off the coast of Virginia and North Carolina. Still some rainy weather across the Carolinas coast, down into central and northern Florida, South Florida, though it does look like the weather's improving nicely there. No problems in New York, Boston area looks like improving conditions, improving also nice in Chicago. A little bit of rain in Minneapolis, St. Paul, but nothing much. It looks like dry weather in Houston and Dallas, West Coast, still some showers around LA and San Diego, and looks like some rain in San Francisco, dry weather up in Portland and Seattle. Quick look into Monday's weather. Well, that heavy weather shifts into Minnesota. Probably that's where you're gonna have some delays because of rainy conditions. Also, some showers into Chicago, all other places. Looks like good weather, and some rain moving into the Pacific Northwest. I'm Eddy Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. I hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Monday. See you then.
