Hi, this is Midi Roger Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to the Weathermanpod.com on your Friday, first day of the month of May, 2026. Looking back at the uh month of April, it's in the books. Temperatures a little bit above normal, not a lot. We did have that one patch of some very warm weather that occurred right around the 13th to the 15th. And then all of a sudden we had uh temperatures crash down, cause a lot of problems to some of the farmers and uh some of the blossoming that occurred rapidly during the warm period, and then all of a sudden to have some of those uh plants actually uh succumb to the very cold conditions in some interior spots. We saw temperatures drop down between 25 and 30 after that warm-up. This also happened about 50 years ago. This is in concert to the type of uh winter that we had this year with very uh below normal temperatures, above normal snowfall, November, December, January, and February. Similar thing happened 49 years ago as well. And uh similar weather patterns just continue to roll on through in uh similar fashions, uh in waves, so to speak. And uh we're waving goodbye to April, uh a dry and slightly warmer than normal month. We're gonna start off in the month of May, a little bit cooler than it should be. Actually, not bad. Plenty of sunshine today, middle to upper 60s. At night there'll be some sprinkles and showers. This as a cold front arrives from the west, and that could drop temperatures back into the mid-40s. Below normal temperatures tomorrow, 61, should get up to about 68, 69 degrees this time of year. And there's also gonna be some scattered showers on Saturday and Saturday night across the mid-Atlantic and northeast. More cloud cover than not across much of New England. Sunday's looking better in all places, plenty of sunshine 61, and Monday sunshine near 70. Even get up close to 80 before the next reset occurs. That 80-degree temperature range will be on Tuesday of next week. If you're traveling by air today, pretty good weather across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast reduced to fair conditions in New York, LaGuardia, JFK, no problems weather wise there or from Boston as well. Philadelphia, Baltimore, D.C. Well, there'll be some rain showers moving into Baltimore and D.C. a little bit earlier during the afternoon hours, but that will be arriving in the Northeast later in the day and on Friday night. Uh down in Charlotte, looking pretty good. Atlanta, okay, but all across the Gulf Coast, much of Texas, some locally severe weather into Houston. You may have some delays getting in and out of Houston, um, and also into Dallas Fort Worth, the possibility of some rainy conditions there. Central and South Florida looking pretty good, but Jacksonville under clouds and rain. Chicago, also some scattered showers, but not as bad as what you're going to find on coastal Texas or East Texas, I should say. West Coast is dry. San Diego, LA, San Francisco, all looking pretty good. Portland and Seattle. Finally dry again in those places as well. Quick look, I see for tomorrow. Looks like a lot of that rain shifts to the east. So Atlanta will have some delays because of the weather. Similar situation in Charlotte. All other places are looking pretty good. Uh looks like, however, we are going to have some weather moving into the Pacific Northwest as well. I've been your Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hopefully, today enjoy the first day of May, and we'll talk to you first thing tomorrow. See you then.
