Hi, this is Bindy Roger, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theWeathermanpod.com on your Wednesday, sixth day of the month of May 2026. And we're looking at some much needed showers across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Frontal system arriving for the west. We'll be slow in trudging through the area. So we're looking at the possibility of between uh 10th to as much as a half inch from rainfall, depending upon where you are. A little bit more to the north, a little bit less to the south. And we're looking at high temperatures, not as warm as daytime Tuesday. Highs today are about 70 to 75 for the most part. Though south winds at 15 will be gusting up to 25. Now still some showers possible tonight, mostly cloudy. Look like it's going to be raining all the time, but the chance of rain will continue into the evening, lows 51. Thursday, we'll call it a mix of clouds and sunshine in some places partly sunny. And also the chance of a sprinkle or a shower at just about any time. Highs will range into the middle 60s, lows at night, back down to the middle 40s again with a chance of rain. Friday features sunshine 65 to 70. Saturday back to showers and highs near 70, but a sunny and warmer day for Mother's Day, Sunday, mostly sunny. Highs will range between 75 and 80 for the moms. Looks like some great weather. Now, if you're traveling by air today, this frontal system will slowly trudge through the area, so it's going to cause uh marginal VFR to IFR conditions. That means some lower weather in the New York, North, LaGuardia, JFK area. Could cause some delays in an air. Look for maybe one, two-hour delays. Similar situation up in the Boston area, the frontal system, a little bit more stationary, and slowly trudging through there. So lower clouds and that chance of raining. Maybe even the possibility of some thunderstorms. And that will really uh cause some slowdowns during the afternoon. Similar pattern in Philadelphia, D.C., and Baltimore. Looks like showers in Charlotte. Showers also in Atlanta, so some delays there. So you're looking at some pretty decent delays in the eastern half of the nation because of the weather and these frontal systems. The severe weather is going to be across central Mississippi and northern and eastern Louisiana, southeastern Arkansas. So in those places traveling down to Houston and Dallas Fort Worth, there will be uh some turbulence aloft and also some slowdowns into uh Dallas and Houston because of the possibility of some rain. Looks dry in Chicago, though. Maybe some rainy weather in northern Minnesota and touching into Minneapolis, St. Paul. And looking out the West Coast, it does look dry in LA, San Francisco, and also dry up in uh Seattle and Portland. Extensive delays possible into the Denver area because of the possibility of five to ten inches of snowfall today, ending tonight. Tomorrow temperatures will be up to 61, so very rapid melting. A mid spring snowfall for Denver. At the meantime, for the Northeast, looks like some rain. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Thursday.
