Quick Intro And Today’s Setup

Hi, this is the Meteorologist Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPompt.com on this Thursday, the 14th day of the month of May. It's going by so quickly.

Cool Start Then Rapid Warmup

And it's uh basically been below normal temperatures, still near to uh slightly below normal temperatures expected for your Thursday, but after that it starts to really warm up. It'll be in the 60s to near 70 tomorrow. And then in the 80s, probably on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and even up to the middle of next week. We see some temperatures really getting warm, could get close to 90 by Tuesday of next week, or in the middle 80s to near 90 degrees on Wednesday with a chance of some scattered showers. But the trend is basically

Spotty Showers Then A Dry Trend

dry. Although there might be some scattered light showers today and tonight, the frontal system moving through seems to be breaking up just a bit. High pressure building in behind it gives us a great day for Friday and Saturday, but then it starts to warm up, as mentioned for Sunday and into early next week. Now, temperatures for today, again ranging mid to upper 60s, with that slight chance of a shower or isolated thunder shower later in the afternoon. Then a drying trend tonight, 48. Tomorrow looking part through sunny, could be an afternoon sprinkler shower 68 near 80, as mentioned into the

weekend. If you're traveling by air today, the area of low pressure is going to be around the mid-Atlantic and northeast, so it could give us some scattered light showers for the New York, LaGuardia, JFK, Newark, that area. Up in the Boston area, also a better chance of some uh steadier rainfall there. Looks like as you go further south, it dries out of it. Uh, Philly, Baltimore, and DC are all looking pretty good. Dry weather in Atlanta and also in Charlotte, looking good in Chicago. Some rain moving into Minneapolis, St. Paul, and dry conditions, but very warm. Houston and Dallas, Fort Worth, West Coast dry from Los Angeles all the way up to San Francisco and into Portland. Maybe some late day showers in San Francisco, but no major weather makers across the nation that'll hold up uh flights across the nation into the hubs.
