Quick Intro And Date Check
SPEAKER_00Hi, this has been your other Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theWeathermanPond.com on your Monday, 18th day of the month of May, 2026, and we're looking at some very warm weather for the first three
Local Heat Builds Through Tuesday
SPEAKER_00days of this week. It wasn't too bad on Sunday. We had some warm conditions. Temperatures were well into the 80s, but today temperatures can get up to the upper 80s and lower 90s, all with sunshine, light southeast winds. We'll keep it cooler along the immediate shoreline, southern shore of Long Island, coastal New Jersey, all the way down to Del Marva, and even coastal Virginia and Maryland as well. So it will be cooler there because of that sea breeze. But daytime, a little bit further inland, that's where you're fine. Temperatures up near 90. Tomorrow, all the way up to 95 on Tuesday with sunshine.
Front Brings Storms Then Cooldown
SPEAKER_00By Wednesday, it looks like a frontal system will be arriving late day and evening. They could bring some thunderstorms and are highs up to about 94. And then after the front moves through, the showers and much needed rainfall, I might add, hopefully we can get something. But it does look dry generally, looking partly sunny on Thursday, 72. Friday, partly sunny, 67. And then as we head toward this upcoming Memorial Day weekend, looks like Saturday, possible to have some shower 69. Still that chance of a shower or two, clouds and sun 72 on Sunday. And Memorial Day Monday at this point looking partly sunny with highs in the 70s. Again, still that chance of a late-day shower. But then it's uh still a few days away, and we'll update you as the week continues. But you are looking at sunshine for your Monday in a highs near 90 degrees.
Air Travel Weather Across The US
SPEAKER_00Traveling by air today. Here's the weather outlook. Looks uh generally fair for the northeast. Um, Philly, New York, Boston all looking pretty good. DC also the same. Charlotte, no problems weather wise there, no problem in Atlanta as well. Central and South Florida also looking good. Just some stray thunderstorms later in the day. Houston's looking dry, but Dallas Fort with maybe some thunderstorms, warm, muggy weather. Chicago, expect delays getting into the windy city because of showers and thunderstorms and a frontal system that's across Iowa, causing some rain and also some locally severe conditions, eastern Dakota, southern Minnesota, uh, north, and western sections of Iowa. Also looking at uh the possibility of some uh snow across the mountains of western Wyoming, up in the higher elevations. West Coast, though, is dry. LA, San Francisco, also looking at dry conditions in Portland and Seattle today, so no problems getting to the West Coast for your connections to Asia.
Wrap Up And Next Update
SPEAKER_00In the meantime, for today, we are looking at fair conditions for New York, LaGuardia, and JFK. Hope you have a great day. Today it's gonna be warm. Got more warm weather coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday. But then up front, we'll bring things back to normal towards the end of this week. I'm in the ball, Justin Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk your first thing on Tuesday. See you then.
