Cold Front Ends The Heat

SPEAKER_00

And had some heavy storms move through the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast yesterday as that cold front moved through. Big difference temperatures. We're back into the 90s. And uh it was on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, all in the 90s, well above normal.

Weekend Clouds And Shower Chances

SPEAKER_00

Now it's going to be below normal for the next several days. This is because that frontal system is going to become stationary to our south. Should have some dry weather for at least the northeast. The mid-Atlantic still under clouds and lots of showers expected for today. Tomorrow, maybe some improvement on Saturday, possibly holding off until Sunday. But Memorial Day Monday around the mid-Atlantic, it should start to improve a bit. But uh elsewhere into the Northeast, looks like the clouds and showers threat will linger right through this Memorial Day weekend after having very warm summer-like conditions back to some very cool weather. Highs today only in the mid-60s. Highs tomorrow, only also in the upper 50s, lower 60s, with that chance of some uh showers moving in on Friday night and into Saturday. Saturday is highs, only 55 to 60 in the mid-60s, with some showers on Sunday. Hopefully this will be wrong. But right now it does look like some wet weather this weekend.

Flight Delay Hotspots Across The US

Now, if you're traveling by air today, the setup shows areas of showers across the Delmarva Peninsula, South Jersey, Southern Pennsylvania, Maryland, all the way down into the Carolinas. And some of that heavier rain is into the eastern Kentucky and Tennessee. And it looks like rainy weather in Atlanta, so there will be some delays going into the busiest airport in the world in Atlanta, looking at uh also some showers and possibly some thunderstorms in Charlotte, also in a hub, a major hub. Looking at uh some showers in South Florida, but nothing major. Uh rainy weather in Houston and Dallas Fort Worth could be uh some extensive delays. When you have those delays into the busiest airport in the world in Atlanta and also in Charlotte and also Houston and Dallas, you are going to have some uh system delays all across the nation. West Coast was looking dry, though. LA up to San Francisco, all the way up to Seattle, looking still at very dry weather. Good in Chicago and Minneapolis, St. Paul as well. New York area, it's lots of clouds, but doesn't look like anything major. Looks like we'll get into a slow, gradual improvement trend from Boston down to the New York area. But remaining overcast with the threat of some showers in Philly
