Hi, this is Middle Bologna Steve Fellateri, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the weathermanpod.com on your Sunday. It is the 24th day of the month of May 2026.

Saturday Rain Recap And Sunday Setup

SPEAKER_00

And uh looks like our weather situation started off generally cloudy on Saturday, gave way to all that rain during the afternoon and evening, and much needed rainfall, I might add. It has been dry so far this springtime, and the good soaking rain like we've had during the afternoon and evening on Saturday was very good. Looking at the possibility of more showers and maybe even a thunderstorm daytime on Sunday, I'm probably not going to see a tremendous amount of rainfall over a long period of time. With those thunderstorms, there's always the possibility of some heavy downpour. So looking at between a half to three quarters of an inch possible on Sunday daytime. At night, just a tenth of an inch. There could be some showers, drizzle, and fog. Highs for Sunday, a little bit warmer. Range from 58 to 63, very chilly conditions. In some places, temperatures only in the 50s today, in the 40s, far north and west. But uh for Sunday, expecting high temperatures to get back at least up to around the middle 60s.

Memorial Day Outlook And Warming Trend

SPEAKER_00

On Monday, Memorial Day, it looks like we will have some showers and some thunderstorms with uh the possibility mainly later in the day and at night, good portion of the time, just clouds and a high for the solemn holiday of about 76 degrees. It'll be mostly cloudy on Monday night and for Tuesday looking mostly cloudier highs near 80 degrees.

Flight Delays And IFR Risk

SPEAKER_00

If you're traveling by air today, you saw a lot of that moisture work its way into the northeast during the afternoon and evening, and it caused some light to moderate delays across the nation. However, it looks like on Sunday, because of the possibility maybe of some thunderstorms during the uh afternoon hours, we do have that possibility of some more local delays. Most of the east, east of the Great Lakes in showers and even some thunderstorms actually extends from the Texas Gulf Coast right to the eastern seaboard, and especially in eastern Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, New York, and uh Connecticut, and much of New York State as well, with some steady, heavy rains. And that will be mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. So again, more delays are a possibility for New York and LaGuardia, probably uh between a half hour to as much as a couple of hours in delays because of uh strong IFR conditions, high pressures across uh much of northern New England from Maine into the Canadian Maritimes, and that is causing that strong east flow to kept our temperatures very cool. And Atlanta looks like some showers, also some showers in Charlotte. Uh, looks like dry weather in Miami. Again, rainy conditions in Houston and Dallas. Uh, Chicago will have some rain and some showers, but dry in Minneapolis. St. Paul looks like dry weather for the West Coast from Southern California

all the way up to Seattle. And getting into some fire situations in central and southern California. We'll have more to say that on that over the next couple of days.

Sunday Wrap Up And Sign Off

SPEAKER_00

In the meantime, for today, hope you have a good Sunday. Expecting more rainy weather. Probably not as steady rain for the as the afternoon and evening on Saturday, but we do have that possibility of some scattered showers and thunderstorms again today. I've been all Justin Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing tomorrow. See you then.
