Welcome And Date Check
SPEAKER_00Hi there, this is Meteor Protestant Heek Pelletier, and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpond.com on your Friday, 29th day of the month of May 2026.
May Temperatures In Perspective
SPEAKER_00The month has been generally near normal temperature-wise. We had that spot of very warm weather. We had that very cool condition too. And it looks like the next couple of days, temperatures a little bit cooler
Rainfall Deficit And Early Summer Setup
SPEAKER_00than normal. Rainfall, though, is still a bit problematic. We have been about an inch of rainfall below normal. And this continues the trend of below normal rainfall by about maybe 20 to 30 percent each month for about the last eight months. So a really tough situation as far as the rain is concerned, and hopefully we'll get into some rainier weather. But the month of June usually shows us some dry and beautiful weather. Most of your showers and thunderstorms will come from uh frontal systems moving through from time to time. And then we get into the month of July, that's usually from air mass thunderstorms. But we'll have to take the beautiful weather while
Northeast Corridor Weekend Forecast
SPEAKER_00we have it. It's gonna be a good one today. Uh, from Richmond all the way up to DC and up to New York City and Boston. No problems weather-wise. It's gonna be a sunny day with our highs in the upper 70s to near 80. At night, fair and cool with the front moving through down to near 50, some places in the 40s of Pennsylvania and western New York State. It also looks like a sunny day for Saturday, but highs will only range in the mid to upper 60s, near 70. That averages about six degrees below normal. And looking ahead towards Sunday, back to near normal, mid-70s, first day of June. Open up the month of June on Monday with a sunny day, and highs also in the 70s to near 80 degrees.
Air Travel And National Weather Map
SPEAKER_00Traveling by air today looks pretty good weather-wise, especially in the northeast. Still some scattered showers in central and south Florida. Most of the rainy weather is going to be across Alabama, Mississippi, and central and southern Georgia. Atlanta will have some showers, but it doesn't look like any major weathers in there. There's a frontal system that's stationary from northern Oklahoma, right in through Tennessee, and then down through South Carolina. So that front there is going to cause some scattered showers from time to time. Dry in Chicago and Minneapolis, St. Paul, so dry in Houston. A few scattered afternoon thunderstorms, but just warm and uh actually downright hot in the Dallas area. And looking at Los Angeles and San Francisco dry, some showers in Portland and also showers in Seattle, Tacoma on your Friday.
