Welcome And May Weather Recap
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Biddy Ron to Steve Pellet here, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPont.com on your Sunday. It's the last day of the month of May 2026. A month that has shown us temperatures pretty close to normal and precipitation pretty close to normal, too. Basically, because of the uh Memorial Day weekend rains that we had across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Before that, it's been fairly dry. It's been dry after that, except for a few passing sprinkles and showers.
Sunday Sunshine And Coastal Cooldown
SPEAKER_00Looks like a pretty good day today to end the month. We'll have sunshine and partly sunny conditions. Our temperatures will range into the mid to upper 70s. We'll be just a little bit cooler along coastal regions, South Shore, Long Island, Jersey Shore, and even down along the coastal sections of Del Marva and Virginia Beach. But it does look like we will have fair skies into the evening hours, just a little bit of patchy cloud
June Starts Mild Then Heats Up
SPEAKER_00cover. And then Monday, we open up the new month of June with sunshine to partly sunny weather, highs generally in the 70s to near 80 degrees. Again, that north wind will keep temperatures just a little bit cooler along coastal areas. And then partly cloudy at night down to 53. Tuesday at this point, looking mostly sunny. Could be an afternoon sprinkler shower, most of the time dry and rain free. Mid-70s on Tuesday. Wednesday, sunshine 76. On Thursday, it'll be sunny, a high of 80 to 85. And by Friday and Saturday, things start to cook up. Make it up to 90 degrees on Friday. And Saturday is looking mostly sunny in the 90s. Similar situation for Sunday of next weekend. Above normal conditions for a later Thursday through next weekend as well. But we've got some cool weather coming up for your Sunday.
Air Travel Weather Around The US
SPEAKER_00Hope you enjoy it. If you're traveling by air today, big area of high pressures across the Carolinas and the Virginias and extends all the way up to the Great Lakes. Still some scattered showers across central and northern New England, much of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine will have some scattered showers. Could touch just a little bit into the northern section of Massachusetts, but dry weather at New York, North LaGuardia, no problems weatherwise, flying in and out of there. Chicago and Minneapolis, St. Paul looking pretty good, although there is some rain across southern Minnesota and some heavy weather across Montana, central and western portions of the Dakotas, even portions of northwestern Nebraska and Iowa as well. We're also looking at some scattered showers in Atlanta and Charlotte's looking dry, but Atlanta might have some scattered showers with an area of low pressure mooking its way across northern sections of Mississippi, Alabama, and into central and southern Georgia. Scattered showers and thunderstorms across central and south Florida could cause some isolated delays there, especially in either Tampa St. Pete, Port Myers, or even in the Daytona area. And Houston and Dallas, it's looking pretty good. Dry weather, dry weather in LA, San Francisco, all the way up to Seattle, Tacoma, some nice weather for the folks in the Pacific
