Quick Hello And Date Check
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is MiddleBalter, Steve Fellow Tierian, I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Friday, fifth day of the month of June 2026, and we've got another great day
Heat And Dry Spell Build
SPEAKER_00coming up for today. We've had some excellent weather so far this week across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. And we're looking at a sunny day today, but temperatures above normal in the mid-90s and dry conditions continue. We've got some moderate to heavy drought conditions starting to develop around the eastern seaboard. It's not as bad across the mountains of Pennsylvania and western New York State. However, that is also because there had been some more scattered showers, some thunderstorms
Weekend Rain And Front Timing
SPEAKER_00in those places. And we are anticipating over the next several days that we are going to get a little bit of rainfall, but not until tomorrow evening. So it looks like Friday sunshine, a little to mid-90s, and then partly cloudy at night down to 68, somewhere between the 60s and near 70. And for Saturday, mostly sunny, hot weather,
Cooler Beaches And Sea Breeze
SPEAKER_00mid-90s. Now you will have cooler conditions, South Shore of Long Island, coastal New England, all the way down to the Jersey Shore, the Del Marva Peninsula, coastal areas there,
Early Next Week Cooldown Then Warmup
SPEAKER_00and also the coast of Virginia and the Carolinas because of the breeze off the water. Ocean temperatures are a little bit cooler than they should be for this time of year. So that's going to cause some more comfortable conditions at the beaches.
Air Travel Weather Across The US
SPEAKER_00But probably during the afternoon, you reached a high temperature at the shore, usually around 11 o'clock before that sea breeze kicks in. And sea breeze is not always a guarantee, but when you have light westerly winds, it's a pretty good bet. Now we are going to have sunny and hot weather on Saturday and mid-90s. And at night that chance of showers and thunderstorms, that's a cool front down to the mid to upper 60s. And with the frontal system slowly trudging on through, there's going to be a clearing trend on Sunday. Looks like a chance of a shower or thundershower could be left over, but highs or rains middle to upper 80s. Monday looks like a much better day, mostly sunny, upper 70s, low 80s expected for Tuesday, back into the mid to upper 80s and warming up again towards the middle and end of next week. If you're traveling by air today, a weather situation across the northeast looking pretty good as high pressure is the main feature, and that means that we're going to have basically dry weather for the New York, New York LaGuardia, JFK, and also the Boston area down to Philly, D.C. and Baltimore, no problems weatherwise there. We're also seeing some pretty good conditions. And Atlanta and Charlotte, Central and South Florida, basically dry. Still lots of rain there. It's a lot of rain across New Orleans and coastal Louisiana, coast of Texas, Houston, and Dallas. Could be some showers. Heavy thunderstorms are a possibility during this afternoon in the Chicago area. So we could have some delays going into either Midway or O'Hare. And we're looking at uh scattered showers in Minneapolis, St. Paul. West Coast continues dry in LA and San Francisco. But some rain moving in from the coast, uh from uh the Pacific into the northwest coast. Uh some showers likely for Seattle and Tacoma on your Friday.
