Quick Hello And Today’s Setup

SPEAKER_00

Hi, this is B.D. Brother Steve Pelletiery, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com for your Tuesday. It's the 16th day of the month of June, 2026, working towards that first day of summer, this upcoming weekend. And

Sunday Night Storms And Stalled Front

SPEAKER_00

we've had a beautiful day on Monday. My goodness, that frontal system moved through on Sunday night with some heavy thunderstorms across the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. That frontal system is now stationary across the Carolinas, extending into northern sections of Georgia, northern Alabama, Mississippi, and southern portions of Tennessee, with a front will most likely return with the next cold front arriving a little bit later on this week.

Local Forecast Sunshine And Cool Night

SPEAKER_00

But in the meantime, we've got a great day for today. Plenty of sunshine. Highs will range just about where you ought to be this time of year. Upper 70s, lower 80s, west winds at five. For tonight, fair to partly cloudy. It's cool overnight, down to about 52 to 57.

Midweek Warmup With Thunder Chances

SPEAKER_00

Now, Wednesday, our weather is going to be partly sunny. Temperatures just a touch warmer into the lower 80s. And there's a chance of an afternoon or early evening thunderstorm with the next frontal system moving through. Temperatures during the daytime 82, lows at night 64 Wednesday, with that chance of showers and thunderstorms, and still the possibility of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm on Thursday. Thursday's high temperature sets up into the upper 80s and lower nights, so we get back to some hotter

Weekend Outlook For Early Summer

weather. But the next area of high pressure builds back on the holiday of Friday, with skies partly sunny, temperatures in the lower 80s, and just a 40% chance of a scattered afternoon and evening shower on Friday. Saturday's looking sunny, a high of 83, and Sunday sunshine 80 to 85. So it looks great weather for this upcoming weekend as well.

Air Travel Forecast And Delay Hotspots

SPEAKER_00

If you're traveling by air today, the high pressure cell is located just off the coast of Virginia and the Del Marva Peninsula, just over southeastern New Jersey and offshore. That high pressure cell gives good weather all the way out to central Ohio. But we do see an area of low pressure and working its way through the central Great Lakes, extending down through Wisconsin, and then advancing eastward. Also, areas of showers and thunderstorms have been along the Texas Gulf Coast through Louisiana, lower Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and into northern Florida. And it looks like that'll stay there for the daytime today. So weather in the New York area, Boston area looking very good. Similar situations, good conditions flying into Philly or for Washington, D.C. And down into the Atlanta area. Just a touch of some showers. Most of the rain will be in the central and southern portion of Georgia. It does look dry in Charlotte, but it looks like heavy thunderstorms are a possibility for the Chicago area, so look out for the possibility of some delays getting into there. Delays also into Houston. We'll have some rain, and rain has been torrential in some places. Dallas Fort Worth, also the possibility of some showers, but most of it staying off to the east. And dry weather continues on the West Coast. LA all the way up to San Francisco to Seattle. Looking at some great weather for flying into the West Coast today.
