Fronts Set Up A Warm Thursday

and Tuesday. Today we have a frontal system of moving our way in a series of fronts that are going to be around the area, mostly a warm front to our south. That's going to cause temperatures to get warmer on Thursday. And it looks like some scattered showers associated just to the north of that frontal zone, and that'll be over eastern Pennsylvania, New York State, New Jersey, Delaware, and the Del Marva Peninsula as well. And it also looks like the areas of rain continue right across the Gulf Coast from Houston all the way to the eastern seaboard, the eastern coast of Georgia and South Carolina.

And we're even seeing a tropical storm, a tropical depression that's forming just over and just to the south of the Houston area and the Texas Gulf Coast. That's going to cause lots of rainfall down there. Maybe cause a few changes in our weather pictures, but lots of rain also across Wisconsin, central and northern portions of Illinois and Indiana, where the locally severe weather is likely in Chicago, all the way down into Indianapolis, and then just into the northwestern Ohio. looks pretty good. And we're going to have uh generally fair skies, but some scattered showers and thunderstorms during the daytime today as our highs reach 80. It's tomorrow that chapters go into the upper 80s and lower 90s, and with a good possibility of showers and thunderstorms. Then by Friday, holiday Friday, it looks partly sunny. Highs will range to 81. Saturday sunshine, 80, and Sunday, Father's Day, Sunday, first day of summer. Flight Delays And Airport Impacts

Thursday. If you're traveling by air today, of course, in and around the New York area, we'll have some scattered showers and thunderstorms in a later afternoon and evening. I think more than morning hours, no problems. Boston's looking good. Philly, DC also looking pretty good. Atlanta, most of the rain is staying to the south, so no problems getting into Atlanta Hartsfield. And also looking at Charlotte, also looking very good weather. It's in Chicago that you're going to have some locally delays because of severe weather, especially during the afternoon evening. So check with your carrier, check with your flights, make sure everything is connecting well, at least on time and through the Chicago and vicinity area. It may even be affecting flights up to Milwaukee and up into Madison. But out in the west coast, still looks dry. LA all the way up to Seattle. And I just want to mention again the possibility of that tropical disturbance that's uh be forming just around the Texas Gulf Coast. That will be advancing towards the east-northeast. And if we have any changes on that, we will update you during the daytime on Wednesday.
