Monday Check In And June Wrap

SPEAKER_00

Hi, this is Midi Roger Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPown.com on your Monday. It is the 29th day of the month of June 2026. Just a couple days left this month that uh showing our temperatures just about near normal, maybe a touch above, but really not much of a big change as far as the temperatures are concerned. Rainfall amounts probably gonna end up again about an inch below normal, even though we had some rain and some showers during the weekend. Saturday was a great day with that rain. I I know it's a Saturday and we're saying it it was a rainy day, but you really need that rain. It really brings a lot of life into everything, and especially since it is going to get hot over the next

Extreme Heat Watch Through July 4

several days. We have a extreme heat watch and effect from July 1st until July 4th. And that's from uh this Wednesday right up through this Saturday. And during that period of time in the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast, including Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, even up the Boston area, we are expecting temperatures to get well into the 90s to near 100 degrees. Highs on Wednesday are expected to be 95 to 100 in the lower 100s on Thursday, in the lower 100s on Friday, and even in the mid to upper 90s on the 4th of July, Saturday, with the possibility of some late-day thunderstorms. And uh even on Sunday, temperatures will be in the 90s of next weekend, first weekend of the month of

Local Forecast And Shore Sea Breeze

SPEAKER_00

July. Uh for today, though, we've got some pretty good weather. It's going to be mostly sunny or highs. Will range in the mid to upper 80s for the most part. Some patchy fog tonight, otherwise mostly clear. Overnight, low temperatures down to about 62 to 67. Apache fog to end the month on Tuesday morning. Then mostly sunny highs 85 to 90, a chance of a thunderstorm at night with the warmth front arriving, down to near 70. And then we feel the heat on Wednesday, as mentioned, Sunshine 97101, expected for Thursday across the Northeast. Now it will be a little bit cooler along the Jersey Shore, but the hottest temperatures will be late morning, early afternoon before that sea breeze kicks in. If you get the wrong west wind, sometimes the sea breeze doesn't kick in, it can be quite brutal at the beaches. But just keep that uh sea breeze in mind for the afternoon hours at the Jersey Shore and down Del Marva, coastal Long Island for the next several days, especially towards the end of this weekend as we get into the holiday weekend, big 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

National Travel Weather For Major Hubs

SPEAKER_00

Traveling by air today. Worst weather that we see across the nation on this Monday is across central and western Montana, central and northern Idaho, eastern portions of both Washington and Oregon, also across North Dakota, some locally severe weather, central and eastern North Dakota that may extend into Minnesota over the next couple of days. But I think for the major hubs in Atlanta, you may have some showers, but nothing much looks like uh at Atlanta, Hartsfield, Jackson, you are looking at uh generally fair skies with some afternoon showers. Similar situation down in Miami. Decent weather in Philadelphia, DC, and up in New York, LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark, and up into Boston, Boston Logan looking pretty good too, weather-wise. No problems in Houston and Dallas, just hot. Chicago hot and dry. Also dry weather, but on the warm side in Minneapolis, St. Paul, LA, San Francisco looking dry. Looks like scattered light showers. Nothing much in Portland and Seattle today.
