Hi, this is Vidy Ball Just Steve Pelletier, and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPont.com on your Monday, sixth day, the month of July 2026. And after

Weekend Heat And Severe Storms

SPEAKER_00

a weekend of very hot weather on Friday and Saturday, and there were very strong storms that moved on through the northeast. Friday night, there were some very strong winds up to 55 to 60 miles per hour. And also on Saturday night, the 4th of July evening, there was showers and thunderstorms all across the Northeast. Some places got up, some places just missed. And it looks like a more widespread type of area of showers in the latter portion of Sunday as well.

Monday Tuesday Rain And Flood Risk

SPEAKER_00

Now we're looking at uh more rainy conditions for today and for tomorrow because of that. Flood watches many communities across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. For your Monday, looks like a mainly cloudy day. There's going to be some showers and maybe even some thunderstorms at just about any time. The probability at 80% for the day, it looks like uh about an inch of rainfall is possible. There's our high temperatures only reach into the middle 70s. Still some showers and thunderstorms likely at night, nighttime lows in the middle sixties. More of the same for Tuesday. Another cloudy day with showers and thunderstorms possible at just about any time. Also looking at generally between a quarter and a half inch of rainfall on Tuesday, highs near 78, but then with a clearing trend on Tuesday night, looks like great weather for Wednesday, Thursday, and then Friday also looking fair. Wednesday's

highs 81. Thursday back up to near 90, and also near 90 on Friday with a chance of some late-day thunderstorms. Generally in the mid to upper 80s this upcoming weekend, each day, with a slight chance of a late-day thunderstorm. It looks like the wet weather is going to be uh during the daytime today and tomorrow. And then we get into some nice weather for the midweek.

Airport Delays Across The East

SPEAKER_00

Traveling by air today. Well, in and out of the northeast, Carter, it looks like you're really going to have a tough time. There's going to be extensive delays in New York, LaGuardia, JFK, Boston, Philly, Baltimore, D.C., all looking at delays because of showers and some thunderstorms. That'll be with us throughout the daytime and into the evening. Expect extensive delays if you're either arriving or departing into the New York or Washington, D.C., the Boston corridor during the daytime today. Even looks like some showers in Atlanta. That's going to cause some delays. A real nightmare as far as flying in the eastern seaboard during the daytime today. Central and South Florida also their fair share of scattered showers and thunderstorms. It will be raining in Atlanta and in Charlotte also a clearing trend in Chicago. Dry weather in Minneapolis, St. Paul. West Coast still looking great. LA, San Francisco, and Seattle looking dry. Houston, some scattered showers and thunderstorms, and the Dallas Fort Worth area during the afternoon hours today. So again, a rough weather for flying in the Northeast for today and tomorrow. Things should straighten out midweek. I'm
