Quick Hello And The Date
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Meteorologist, Steve Felder, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPond.com on your Friday, 10th day of the month of July, 2026. And as I've been saying, it's going by very quickly. Enjoy these days.
Today’s Clouds, Heat, And Storm Risk
SPEAKER_00Actually, not too great of a day to enjoy weather wise today across the Mid Atlantic and Northeast. Should be better for this weekend into early next week. Even downright on the warm side as we get into the middle portion of next week. But for today, we do have some early cloud cover and some midday sunshine, but also the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night as our high temperatures range in the mid to upper eighties. A few spots could touch 90 if you get enough sun. And at night, still that chance of a shower or thunder shower for Friday night. Overnight, low temperatures 65 to 70.
Saturday Fog Then A Better Trend
SPEAKER_00And our weather on Saturday starts off with some clouds and patchy fog. Midday, some sunshine. Might be a late day thunder shower, but not too bad of a day. Highs will reach the middle 80s at night fair, mid-60s. Both Saturday night into Sunday, the trend will be towards drier
Sunshine Builds Toward A Warmer Week
SPEAKER_00weather. As a matter of fact, Sunday and Monday, plenty of sunshine, mid-80s, both days could touch 90 on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. In the meantime, looking at just a little bit of scattered shower and thunderstorm action for this afternoon, a good portion of the time it'll be dry and rain
Flight Weather And Airport Delay Odds
SPEAKER_00free. Traveling by air today, again, some very slight areas of showers and thunderstorms in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast for New York, LaGuardia, JFK, Newark, and also down in Philly and Mid-Alantic places around Baltimore, down to Richmond and D.C., just a slight shower and thunderstorm threat. Slight delays, I think. Up in the Boston area, just some cloud cover, but maybe a few light rain showers, nothing much. Atlanta, also some scattered showers, scattered showers in Charlotte. In central and south Florida, most of the time dry, but late afternoon thunderstorms will be just offshore. Looking at some rainy weather in Houston, dry weather, but hot in Dallas. Showers seem to be ending in Chicago. Looks pretty good up in Minneapolis, St. Paul. West Coast continues dry.
National Snapshot And Weekend Sign-Off
SPEAKER_00LA, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle looking at generally dry weather. But no major problems for traveling into the West Coast today. I'm Indy Roger, Steve Pelleteria, and I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Saturday. See you then.
