Monday Check-In And July Snapshot
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Meteorologist Steve Pellet here and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Monday. It is the 20th day of the month of July 2026. In the last third of this month of July. And it's been a month that's shown us just a little bit of everything. Some heat, some rainy weather, some nice conditions, smoking conditions.
Today’s Sunshine And Temperatures
SPEAKER_00And uh, well, it looks like this week uh we are going to have a great day today. Plenty of sunshine, mid-Atlantic Northeast, but clouds will be on the increase tonight. Highs today near 80, lows tonight down to about the mid to upper 60s, to near 70
Tuesday Storm Chances Build
SPEAKER_00in the cities. And it looks like some showers and even some thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday, especially in the afternoon and evening. Highs will reach 81 with those showers and thunderstorms likely at night, temperatures down to near 70.
Wednesday Front And Heavy Downpours
SPEAKER_00It's another frontal system arriving, with showers and thunderstorms still likely on Wednesday. There could be some locally heavy downpours with those. Temperatures daytime will range into the 80s, about 80 to 85 on Wednesday. But then the high pressure starts to build in again from the northeast.
High Pressure And A Great Weekend
SPEAKER_00And with that, mostly sunny skies, temperatures near 80 on Thursday with low, comfortable relative humidity. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, all looking great. A little bit warmer each and every day. Lower 80s on Friday, mid-80s on Saturday and Sunday of this upcoming weekend. In the meantime, for today, we are looking at sunshine on a high of 81.
Northeast Aviation Weather Outlook
SPEAKER_00Traveling by air today. Looks like some great weather for the Northeast once again. Of course, from New York, LaGuardia, JFK, and even up in the Boston area, down in Philly, Baltimore, and DC, the weather is looking pretty good. No problems weather-wise in and out of those major airports for today and for tonight.
Carolinas Showers And Florida Tropics
SPEAKER_00However, as we're taking a look uh elsewhere, it still looks like a funnel system almost stationary across the Carolinas. That causes showers and even some isolated thunderstorms in Charlotte. So maybe some slight delays into there. Uh just some light showers into Atlanta, I think that's going to be fine. But we're looking at the possibility of tropical weather, tropical disturbances just along the western panhandle of Florida. Looks like a tropical disturbance will be affecting the western portions of Florida. Probably going to become a tropical depression or tropical storm during the daytime today or tomorrow, but it will cause heavy showers and some thunderstorms across West Florida. Central and South Florida doesn't
Quick National Weather Rundown
SPEAKER_00look like too bad. Just smoky weather up in Chicago. There's some rainy shower action across Minneapolis, St. Paul. Dry but hot in Dallas and Houston. West Coast continues dry, as it has been for the last several days. Dry from LA, all the way up to San Francisco, up in Portland and in Seattle as well. I'll be keeping an eye on that tropical weather over the Western Florida panhandle. We'll have an update for you either later on today or first thing tomorrow.
