Welcome And Date Check
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is VD Balder, Heat Pelleterian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Monday. 27th day of the month
July Trends: Temps And Rain
SPEAKER_00of July. So far, this month of July across the Mid-Atlantic and northeast temperatures have been near normal, maybe slightly above by about a half degree or degree. But also looking at above-normal rainfall. That's the first time that's happened in quite some time, over a year. And uh looks like we are going to get more rainfalls. As a matter of fact, this month is probably going to have uh uh amounts somewhere between seven and ten inches in some places because of the heavy rains
Tuesday Storm Setup And Totals
SPEAKER_00and thunderstorms. Now we have one area of showers and thunderstorms due on Tuesday, one to two inches during the daytime, and even the possibility of an inch or so at night. And of course, with thunderstorms, you never know. Sometimes storm can sit and develop right over your area and give us tremendous amounts of rainfall. Other places, just lighter amounts, and that's the way it usually rolls during the month of July. So Tuesday's gonna be the wet day, Tuesday and Tuesday night, and even Wednesday, maybe some showers. But by the time we get to Thursday, high pressure starts to build in. Friday, the last day of the month, looking at sunshine at 82. Great weather for Saturday and Sunday of the weekend as we enter into the new month of August. Temperature should be near normal
Air Travel Outlook And Major Delays
SPEAKER_00then. So the biggest problem for today, though, sunshine giving way to showers and thunderstorms, and an extended period of wet weather commencing tonight and lasting probably into Wednesday. If you're traveling by air today, it looks like decent weather for today, at least to start. And of course, you know, keep in mind with those heavy showers and thunderstorms moving in for tomorrow. That's going to cause extensive delays in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast New York, Flaguardia, JFK on Tuesday. It's going to be tough flying in and outbound because of the expected heavy weather. There will be cancellations and delays. That's something to keep in mind for tomorrow. Today, not too bad.
City By City Travel Weather
SPEAKER_00We do have uh some scattered showers and thunderstorms for the latter portion of the day in this evening. That'll slow things down. But also looking at uh generally dry conditions up and around the Boston area into northern New England. Uh down in DC, maybe some scattered afternoon thunderstorms today, and uh similar, similar situation for uh the uh central portion of Virginia, Richmond. Also looking at Charlotte, dry conditions, but scattered late day showers in Atlanta. Uh Chicago, mostly dry, Minneapolis, St. Paul, mostly dry. Houston and Dallas, no problems there. LA, San Francisco, and even up to Seattle, Tacoma, no problem weather-wise in those places traveling in and outbound to the West Coast today.
Final Reminder And Sign Off
SPEAKER_00Tomorrow is going to be the big problem. There will be extensive delays in the mid Atlantic and Northeast because of the heavy rains that could last into Tuesday night and Wednesday. I've been you'll just be fell the cherry, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing tomorrow. We'll look at those uh heavy areas of rain expected to move in. Talk to you then.
