Sunny Heat With Isolated Night Storms
SPEAKER_00On your Tuesday, that's the 11th day of the month of August 2026, and we've got some pretty nice weather coming up for today, mostly sunny skies, expected highs. Generally in the upper 80s and lower 90s, it's a west wind at 5 miles per hour. Now, at night it's going to be partly cloudy. Most of the time, most places it will be dry, but there is an isolated thunderstorm chance. Seems like they're happening during the overnight hours and nighttime low temperatures down to 68. Back to mostly sunny weather on Wednesday with temperatures on the upper 80s and lower 90s again, with light northwest winds. At night, partly cloudy. Just a 30% chance of an isolated shower here and there,
Front Moves Through Late Thursday
SPEAKER_0067. Thursday, we have a frontal system moving through late day and evening. That means mostly sunny daytime, upper 80s to near 90. And nighttime, that chance of thunderstorms. Then the winds shift out of the northwest a little bit stronger. Friday, mostly sunny, 80 to 85, 80 to 85, Saturday with sunny skies. And Sunday, although mostly sunny up to 84, slight chance of a late-day thunder shower for the second half of the weekend.
Air Travel Outlook For Major Hubs
SPEAKER_00Now, if you're traveling by air today, it looks like some pretty good weather for the northeast, of course, around the Middle Atlantic and Northeast. Most thunderstorm action is going to be during the overnight hours, and that means during the daytime, no major problems weather wise as far as flights. Inbound and outbound, North LaGuardia, JFK, all looking pretty good. Similar situation up in the Boston area, no problems weatherwise there. A little bit more active shower and thunderstorm action down around Baltimore and DC and Dulles. But it looks like in Charlotte, still that possibility of some late day or evening showers or isolated thunderstorms, but uh also on the light side. Atlanta, most of the time looking dry with some uh scattered showers and thunderstorms, but most of the time just dry and rain free, so no major problems into Atlanta today. Central and South Florida looking pretty good.
Severe Risk And Delays Near Chicago
SPEAKER_00Looks like some locally severe weather in Chicago. Expect some delays going into Chicago today, and up to Minneapolis, St. Paul looks dry, but the Chicago area is problematic for the afternoon and evening. Some locally severe weather expected. Houston and Dallas are dry. LA might have a few rain showers, a little bit of wet weather down in Southern California, but San Francisco's looking dry. Smoky in northern Idaho, western Montana, dry conditions in Seattle,
