Quick Intro And What To Expect
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Mindy Ralder, Steve Pelletirian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com.
Weekend Outlook With Sunday Rain
SPEAKER_00On your Saturday, it's the 15th day, the midway point of the month of August 2026, and we have some pretty nice weather on Thursday and Friday. Looks like some nice weather coming up for Saturday, but looks like Sunday we're going to have some rain moving in from the west. Final system and area of low pressure. We'll be passing through later Sunday afternoon, Sunday evening, and we'll bring us showers and some thunderstorms. Looks like the possibility of between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rainfall during the afternoon and evening Sunday.
Day By Day Forecast Through Friday
SPEAKER_00But it does look like some great weather coming up for today. Plenty of sunshine. Highs will range between 85 and 90 degrees. Fair to partly cloudy at night, 65. Sunday thickening cloud cover and showers that I mentioned in the 80 to 85 degree range. Some of the shower and thunderstorms could be locally heavy in the afternoon or early evening, then partly cloudy down to 68. Some leftover showers early Monday. Then the trend will be towards clearing, becoming mostly sunny. Highs will reach between 82 and 87 degrees. Then on Monday night, clear Tuesdays looking sunny. Wednesday sunshine, maybe a lengthy thunderstorm on Thursday, but that's with sunshine at 89. Cooling back on Friday, mostly sunny, 85.
Travel Weather And Airport Impacts
SPEAKER_00Traveling by air today. No problems weather wise in the New York metropolitan area, Norwich, LeBron, JFK, all looking pretty good. It looks like fair weather also up in the Boston region. Maybe fair in the Baltimore and Philly area, but like some scattered showers in a later afternoon, early evening in DC and Dallas. Looks like it's been that way just about all week long. And maybe heavy thunderstorms in Charlotte. Light showers in Atlanta. No major delays into Atlanta Hartsfield. Looking at that, generally fair skies are a good balance of Central and South Florida with some late-day thunderstorms, but no problems weather wise into there. In the Dallas and Houston area, looking like fair skies with hot weather. Rainy conditions continue in Chi Town, Chicago. Looks like the possibility of some locally severe weather in the afternoon and evening. Also some rain in Minneapolis, St. Paul, so expect some delays in Chicago and in MSP as well. West Coast continues dry. LA, San Francisco, but some rain showers in Portland and Seattle, Tacoma. Expected for later
