Quick Hello And Date Check
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Media Browser Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the Weathermanpod.com on your Sunday. It's the 23rd day in the month of August 2026.
Sunday Showers Then Clearing
SPEAKER_00And well, we had some fairly decent weather on Saturday. There are a few isolated showers about daytime today. We start off with the frontal system approaching the area, and it's going to be moving through this morning, causing showers and thunderstorms. But the front goes through, and by say one, two o'clock, the sky should start to clear as most of the areas of rain will be off to our east and northeast. We'll get into sunshine and high temperatures will range between 80 and 85. So thunderstorms are nearly going, giving way to a clearing trend in sunshine during Sunday
Three Straight Days Of Sunshine
SPEAKER_00afternoon. Sunday night is looking clear. Nighttime low temperatures back into the upper 50s and lower 60s. Then three days of excellent weather coming up Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. All three days will have sunshine, highs ranging between 80 and 85, nighttime lows 50s to lower 60s. The next frontal system due sometime on Thursday may cause some scattered showers and thunderstorms. Then, and we get into a clearing trend to enter into this upcoming weekend. In the meantime, for today, we've got showers and thunderstorms ending and moving east, giving way to clearing, and a nice day coming up for the next several days, Monday through Wednesday.
Airport Delays And National Outlook
SPEAKER_00And traveling by air today, those showers and thunderstorms lowering the possibility of uh on time departures and arrivals into the Newark LaGuardia JFK area because of some locally heavy rains and thunderstorms early. But in the afternoon, the situation will improve. And although there'll probably be some light to moderate delays, you are looking at improving conditions as the day wears on. Still rainy, though, up in the Boston area. A few isolated showers around New York, uh, Philadelphia, and the uh DC area. Down to Charlotte and Atlanta, looks dry. Nice weather down in Central and South Florida, no major problems there. Houston and Dallas are looking dry. Chicago and Minneapolis, St. Paul, high pressure building down from central Canada, some beautiful weather there, late August weather. It looks like fair, dry conditions from San Diego, LA, San Francisco, all the way up to Seattle, Tacoma. Expected for later today and tonight.
